Axios and multiple other media outlets are going out of their way to claim Vice President Kamala Harris was never the Biden administration's "border czar."

That’s right. The same propagandist who reported Kamala as in charge of the border, several calling her the border czar. Are changing their stance and actually editing and in some cases deleting their past articles.

Why is this moniker important? We know that Harris was tasked with examining what was occurring at the border and coming up with things that might relieve some pain points, but "border czar" isn't a official title or anything, so what does it actually mean and why is it so important for it to be attached to Harris?

Axios has many articles referring to Harris as "border czar" but mostly from other conservative news outlets, but it says that Axios has referred to Harris as "border czar" previously also. In fact, I found the actual article that the tweet refers to. On Axios. It's from April of 2021. So, not deleted or scrubbed.

The problem I have with the reporting is that Harris was not put in charge of the border in some way, yet the wording could be taken to imply that she was. She was tasked with stemming the flow of migration from central America.

You're misunderstanding me.

The article is saying she was "put in charge of the border crisis". Nowhere in the article did Biden say those words. So, I'm saying that those words are not quoting Biden and as articulated could be misinterpreted to mean that Harris was put in charge of the border. And that would be a misunderstanding because she was never put in charge of the border in any way. She was ---> put in charge of stemming the flow of migration from Central America.

This is from the more recent article 2024: Harris-Czar:

I understand how it may seem that way to you. But no, leading a diplomatic effort with foreign countries to stem the flow of migration is not the same as being in charge of running the border. If you were put in charge of decreasing the amount of homeless people in need of coming to a soup kitchen for food, it does not mean you were put in charge of running the soup kitchen.

This can't logically be a rewrite since 2021 was when she was appointed for the task and the results of her work are in the 2024 article.
