  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Whew, this song is awesome, even though I am not a metal guy. We all need Jesus. The video is a bit dark, but hey, dying on a cross is pretty dark and excruciating, but 3 days later, Christ rose from the dead.

Wow, that is awesome. As a Catholic myself, it is awesome how the Catholic faith has had a positive impact on the world (even though there were some dark moments in the 16th century and at other times in history).

The Crusades seem so bitter to many, but if they are studied out, they may have beat back the gates of Hell for many more years than people realize. I don't say this lightly. The Mother Church has been used to feed countless hungry, housed countless orphans, restored many convicts to life and brought an immeasurable number to the foot of the cross.

She's still beautiful. All earthly establishments are eaten by moth and rust, but she still leads in the provision of the Physical Gospel unto mankind.

Agreed, the Crusades may have been used to spread Christ to more people. The Spanish Inquisition was a little dark though. But yes, the Catholic church has helped to bring billions to the Christian faith in general. And I like that Matthew 6 quote.

I’m searching for anything else that is on this level. To be sincere, this was their one real devoted song to Christ.

The lead singer turned back to Jesus after many years and wrote this one song. It would be a stretch to say that any of their other music is this specific. The newer stuff has overtones, but it’s not the same as Golgotha.
