....So much for him keeping his word.

Mr. Biden remained defiant throughout the roughly 10-minute unscheduled interview, doubling down on his refusal to drop out of the race.
“I’m not letting up. I’m not letting up a little bit,” he said. “The bottom line here is that we are not going anywhere. I’m not going anywhere.”
Its good that he could change his mind about his.

I mean pretty much everyone wanted him to do this.... especially those on the right. You could read it right here at CF.

Is that what you want to call it?

Actually I had changed my view. I had started rooting for him.

Some on the Right were privately advising me that he is better for our nation than Harris; and even though Harris' chances of winning look dismal; I started having deep concerns about the damage that she could do.

Whoever is running against Trump was guaranteed to take over Worst Person in Westeros from Biden.

Its life and death "you wont have a country anymore" no matter who it is.

It's not looking good. The Biden Administration has done so much damage; that I'm not sure that we can recover. At this point it might be who can do enough damage control, to prolong the inevitable.

Oh no! It looks like Obama is agreeing with me again.

Obama praises Biden for dropping out but doesn’t endorse Harris

Mr. Obama, who had picked Mr. Biden in 2008 to serve as his vice president, said he’s confident that “the leaders of our party will be able to create a process from which an outstanding nominee emerges,” but did not mention Ms. Harris

Obama also didn't endorse any candidate for the 2020 nomination until after Bernie dropped out leaving Biden standing alone. This. Means. Nothing.

Back to deals made out of sight of the public in smoke vape filled rooms!
I hadn't realized that this had changed in my lifetime, well other than the smoke part.

I await your holding President Trump’s feet to the fire when/if he breaks his word.
We'll have to wait and see. Maybe you and I will meet up at a peaceful demonstration, after the Democratic nominee falls short.

We’ll see if President Trump declares that even more people attended his second inaugural parade than his record breaking first.

I’m thinking he does.

Biden drops out of 2024 race after weeks of pressure, endorses Harris

President Joe Biden on Sunday announced he is withdrawing his bid for re-election after weeks of pressure from top Democrats to drop out of the race amid concerns over his cognitive state and his ability

So much for him keeping his word.

So much for Democracy.
He realized he couldn't do it any more. I applaud him for doing the right thing.

Well yeah, perhaps you aside, there was the cynical right who could see Biden was mostly useless for campaigning. They wanted him to stay in - as a punching bag for Trump.
