  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A well-known Phoenix news anchor Mark Curitis interviews with his former colleauge - Kari Lake.

"At your speech in front of the RNC, you had a chance to address America at a time when America in many ways is dealing with the aftermath of the attempted (Trump) assassination, and yet you chose to attack the media rather than talk about coming together as a country. Don't you think political rhetoric like that is also damaging?" Curtis asked Lake. "I mean, this is an industry, Kari, that put food on your table for years."

Here is the entire, unedited interview (stick around until the end...)

That Lake should somehow should owe allegiance to the media because she was employed by the media rather than honor the truth is outrageous. The media needs to reform. Dishonesty in the media has caused a lot of damage to this country and has sometimes ended up costing American lives.

Kari Lake running for the Senate is one of the Democratic Party's few bright spots as we look ahead toward the election. The Republicans had a very easy seat to win. Instead, the Democrats are now likely to win the seat.

Gallego, like Joe Biden did in his last run, is pretending to be a moderate.

Yes, thankfully (as in 2022), there will be a few Senate and House seats that the Republicans had as near locks that the Democrats may now win since Trump supported candidates like Kari Lake (well maybe not quite as weak as Kari Lake).

Things don't seem to have changed that much politically in Arizona, it will take some Democrats shifting in order for her to win. It's hard to break away from the party grip but people can see the effects of the Biden border policy.

You're right. The Arizona GOP has lost every major race since 2018. She doesn't need Democrats to win....she only needs to retain Republican votes and get more independent voters who are roughly 1/3 of Arizona voters.

100% true.

Kari Lake needs to win a solid majority of independents to win the seat. Democrats are just fine with that.
