  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Listen to this! Need to hear your advice

Hi brothers and sisters happy Sunday
I have previous mentioned the woman that spoke to me, and how she mentioned she was influence by a angel (demon)
She posted another message to me, and this time it was a fallen angel. Well, at least it called itself Rafael and highly intellectual, and a noticeable difference from her talking. Just to say.
It started to talk about the end times, when how etc, and how it would happen and how it knew it was etc.
I didn't engage. She's apparently waiting for reply. I just skimmed it.
Now can I have your take on this? Do I respond at all, or not? And with what? I was lik, I'm not budging, I'm not having this.
But the question also is why me why now and what can be the intent of saying it at all?

Hello @Godcrazy, Jewish, Catholic, and Orthodox "tradition" talks about certain archangels that are not spoken of (or even illuded to) in the Bible. Raphael is the traditional name that is given to one of them (see: Seven Archangels - Wikipedia).

From my experience, when someone talks of having personal conversations and receiving new revelations from such beings, the tendency is almost always the same, to sink and bury the written word of God (with a new revelation that changes the word of God in some way, by adding to it, subtracting from it, and/or by denying the truth that it teaches us).

Be VERY careful, and if you decide to engage this person further, compare VERY carefully everything she claims was revealed to her against what we know is true in the Bible (just like the Bereans did with the Apostle Paul's teachings .. e.g. Acts 17:10-11).

Have you talked to your pastor about this yet to see what he has to say? If not, do so as soon as possible (that's what I would do if I was in your shoes).

My primary advice would be for you to not engage this woman any longer, unless you sense the Lord leading you to do so for her sake. My secondary advice would be 1. talk to your pastor and 2. be EXTREMELY cautious if you do decide to reply to her again (and do not hesitate to walk away from the conversation with her the moment that you sense things going south, towards anything that is seems even remotely heretical or blasphemous when illuminated by the light of the Scriptures).

God bless you!!

I would ask her, does she know how to be born again and become a permanent child of God. If she says yes and then gives an answer like: all are children of God, she is finding her own way to God or some type of answer like these.
----------
Then i would tell her the only way to receive God's free gift of Eternal Life salvation and become a permanent born again child of God.

Is to believe in Jesus, So what does believing in Jesus mean. It means to believe Jesus (of The Bible and no other jesus) and who He, Jesus says He is. Or other believers/disciples (Paul, Peter, Phillip, etc..) and who they say Jesus is.

Which is the resurrection and the life, The promised Messiah / Son of God*. This is the name and believing in this name. Is what gives people God's free gift of Eternal Life.

The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.” Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”

And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

Do not miss believing in the name of Jesus or you will miss receiving God's free gift of Eternal Life salvation.

* Messiah and Son of God are the same names of Jesus, so if you believe Jesus is The Messiah, you are also believing Jesus is the Son of God

Jesus actually makes a statement about not worrying about the end times in reference to preparations. The children of Israel had known the power of God very directly and time and time again, we see God leading them into places where they SHOULD Panic, but with the True presence of God with them, they actually Should simply have faith and Trust Him to provide all of their needs as they need them, without having an itinerary drawn up for them by God.

This friend clearly wants to share that they have been given a "Revelation". You don't need it. God dwells in your soul. You don't need angels to tell you things through third parties. God, Himself, Tabernacles within your very being. If He wanted you to know a thing, you would receive it in context, from scripture and His working with you through His presence within you.

Do you think that you can help this friend in a way that might stop them from proclaiming Prophecies of extra biblical nature? My immediate, personal response would be to share with this friend that Exodus 14:14 is more than enough for you and that you are praying for their peace and protection by Jesus Christ. Pray on this and by no means should you hurt this person. Your tact is scriptural.

You know, It might be wise to simply go all Jesus on them and just ask questions designed to lead them back to Jesus on the matter.

Excellent advice given. I agree to proceed with extreme caution, especially considering the following admonition from Scripture:

Timothy 4:1: “The Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons”.

If the Holy Spirit within you is indicating red flags, it is wise to disengage and protect your own spiritual well being. If He is prompting you to proceed, you can trust Him to provide the words to speak and to what degree to engage this woman. Just saturate yourself in prayer beforehand.

Said a fervent prayer for you and this woman. God bless!

Sge, or it, actually said they were Rafael. While they carried on in the end time. I thought about saying something like God have already predicted the end what's going to happen. And that God will return. I wonder if that would suffice.

I think that is a righteous answer, when coupled with Loving prayer for your friend. It sounds like Jesus has given you the words that you were looking for.

This woman is hearing wrong voices.

I don't know what her backstory is, but I would guess she is being strongly influenced by these voices to say and do the things she is now saying and doing. How strong is their control on her, we do not know. But you are very right in not wanting to have anything to do with this situation.

I don't know how close your affiliation is to this woman ... a close friend, casual acquaintance, total stranger? ... but I would definitely back away, and say a prayer for her. She is involved with something evil, and she may or may not realize it. But you can pray for her, and stay away.

One of the strategies of the enemy is to send things into our lives, so as to distract us. He sends distractions to take our focus off of Jesus and the true things of God. It is meant to be an interference. A disruption to our walk with Jesus. And sometimes he will even use distractions like this, to place a seed of doubt in our heart about God, things God has said in the Bible, etc. Whatever the reason, you can know that lying voices are up to 'no good'.

You were wise to just 'skim' her last email. Were it me, I personally would no longer read the words that she sends. I would not engage in debate with her. I would kindly remove myself from any further discussion with her, even if it means not responding to her. She is hearing lying voices; I would not want even a seed of those lies to get into my heart.

"Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life."
~ Proverbs 4:23

:praying: for you.
You are doing the right thing for yourself, by backing away from this situation.

That's what I thought. But it's interesting this happens now when I am real close. I have asked God for extra protection, and I can feel it. It's like a thickness and a calm.
I thought, I must be doing something right. So I might actually create ripples.
Can the demon jump if you say something like jump to you?
