  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Welcome to the forums Ms. Jo. I have a bit of autism myself, so I technically have special needs also, but God and the people in my life have helped me. God bless you on your endeavors here. By the way, Jo/Joe means "God will add" in Hebrew.

I have Asperger's. I don't mean to make you uncomfortable, but if you are willing to share about your kids special needs, I would gladly listen.

I have Asperger. So glad to run into someone else on the spectrum.

And yes, John 9:1-3 has always been my favorite passage, for that very same reason.

Amen to that. :) We are similar in that regard. My autism is Asperger's as well.

My kids all have ADHD. The oldest and youngest also have developmental coordination disorder. The middle guy has autism and epilepsy.

I'm glad that my kids have taught me that our differences make life interesting! :)
