Probably something or somebody of this world is blocking our meeting. This could be the reason for others too and we have to solve that for all.

Jesus is probably already meeting you in your dreams and you're simply not remembering.

It can be very challenging to remember our dreams. It helps to do things that will sharpen our memories or remember our dreams better.

I used to have a small notebook and pen right beside me when I sleep. I wake up every few hrs during sleep. I'd have dreams by then. If I didn't write down the dream, it's more likely I'd have forgotten it by morning.

For example, last night, I dreamed about a volcano exploding but I don't remember most of the details because I didn't write it down. In fact, I'm not really sure it's a volcano but there are buildings collapsing like dominoes but slowly, yet, there's no earthquake.

What's blocking people are always worldly thoughts, worldliness in their hearts.

On the other-hand, worldly thoughts may attract evil spirits who can pretend to be the Holy Spirit and deceive people so extreme caution is still advised on all spiritual encounters.

What attracts the Holy Spirit is thinking like a child and most adults are incapable of doing this even no matter how hard they try. Children don't think of settling down, financial portfolios, cars and trucks unless corrupted by worldly ideals early on. What an uncorrupted child thinks about is going through that "narrow road". They may not articulate it similarly but simply means looking for places nobody bothers to look. Finding things nobody cares about, finding treasure in what others find worthless and singing a tune that nobody knows about. Those are thoughts the Lord desires because they are the same things our Lord desires.

It might explain why physical manifestations of my encounters with the Lord peaked during childhood. My thoughts aren't as pure then. At times, I'm having thoughts of settling down, financial portfolios, worldly thoughts. Trying my best not to or thinking as little of them as possible.

Ok that was long ago. And more time has passed since then just as He said and just as you obeyed. Ask Him again about these present days, maybe He will give a different answer.

If God tells me more time in these days, I'm going to remind Him about His words that if he does not cut short and come quickly, then what He said will happen.

And I know God sometimes thinks that I'm right and listens to me because I'm His eyes and His Spirit of Wisdom, or at least He gives me understanding to help my lack or ignorance.
"Ask Him again" That's funny Lol. You have that innocence of a child with that maturity. That's a good combination. There's not much time left GospelS. But no warning will be given to The Church as the warnings have already been given by Jesus in the chapter you were in and the next. There was already one time extention given. That comes from mercy. It is a good thing to remind, "What if there is 50, 40, 30.20. " Well it was nice talking to you. By the way I used "3rd day on another post on this forum.

Some who think they "like a child" are incapable to "act like men" where needed as Holy Spirit commanded in 1 Corinthians 16.

Thank you for the encouragement.

For example, last night, I dreamed about a volcano exploding
That's amazing. Can you please tell me more about this dream? Please.

Yeah, I'm waiting for that day when I can feed and provide all my 100 orphan children and 1000 others under my care without having anything to do with finances, budget, automobiles, infrastructure etc. Wicked men who say they have faith and are they childlike have left these little children and their wives.

Wicked men who say they have faith and are they childlike have left these little children and their wives.

Jesus also said we should take care of our loved ones/family members directly under our care. That means meeting their needs like food, shelter, etc. and in most cases, you need money to fill these needs which means you need to work, or invest (in your own business or others).

And yes, it's possible to "become like a child" and still provide for the needs of your family. You will need to start thinking about God and money differently unlike how most people do.

I think you should stop being paranoid of that "poverty gospel". I don't think there's anyone here on that false gospel. I never heard of it until you told about it and there's no one in these forums preaching about their theology. Prosperity gospel is still far more dangerous with far more Christians seduced by that false gospel. Riches are far more seductive than poverty (even to myself).

Some who think they "like a child" are incapable to "act like men" where needed as Holy Spirit commanded in 1 Corinthians 16.

There's cultural context involved in that teaching and Apostle Paul addressed it to the church in Corinth, not us in the 21st century and the correct verse is 1 Corinthians 13.

Because if you believe that teaching literally applies to us, it becomes a contradiction of Christ's teaching in Matthew 18:3.

For me, this isn't just a matter of "hermeneutics".

Because when I tried to become like a child at least in thoughts, I started seeing Jesus in dreams frequently in the New Earth. I'm regularly entering the Kingdom of God just like in Matthew 18:3, at least through dreaming.

This is way more valuable and way more fun to me than riches. And some of my spiritual gifts that peaked during childhood are being restored as well. The most visible manifestation is I also became young in appearance and physical vitality. These things are so real to me they take priority over adult responsibility. Yet, I'm also not abandoning my adult responsibilities.

That's amazing. Can you please tell me more about this dream? Please.

Sadly, there's nothing much more to tell. I didn't write it down and forgot most of the details.

It's actually a beautiful place next to a mountain (why I thought a volcano exploded, it could still, just not sure). The buildings looked nice like Spanish or maybe Mexican. It was night and the moon is up.

Then something happened to the tallest building. I thought of running feeling that something terrible is about to happen so I grabbed my dad and sister who are in that dream (my dad passed away shortly before the Covid Pandemic but I see him frequently in dreams and he's always happy and unusually excited in my dreams).

I can't remember with clarity what caused the tallest building to suddenly start breaking apart with big pieces falling one by one and causing other buildings to collapse as well. There's no earthquake.

Because if you believe that teaching literally applies to us, it becomes a contradiction of Christ's teaching in Matthew 18:3.
What about these other verses where the Holy Spirit call us to mature? Do they also contradict Christ and not apply to us.
  • Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature. 1 Corinthians 14:20
  • Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. 1 Corinthians 2:6
  • And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature. Luke 8:14
  • Until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, Ephesians 4:13
  • Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. Philippians 3:15
  • Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. Colossians 1:28
  • Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you, always struggling on your behalf in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God. Colossians 4:12
  • But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil. Hebrews 5:14

I like your desire, but you need to be patient. The time is not yet for him to be here physically. He said he is leaving us till he returns in his full glory.
Thank you so much for the encouragement. I will be patient. We want His coming in full glory. Please ask Jesus to give me patience. :)

  • Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. 1 Corinthians 2:6

Paul is talking about "spiritual maturity" here and not "secular maturity". Reference to "it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age".

Children who are not yet corrupted by secular wisdom tend to be more spiritually mature than adults.

  • And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature. Luke 8:14

Again, this is Spiritual maturity - it does not care for riches. Uncorrupted children also don't care for riches. It is secular maturity that cares for riches. Again to make myself clear on what I believe. Spiritual maturity won't make you stop providing for people under your care.

On the other-hand, secular maturity is maturity derived from adapting to the evil ways of our world thus, spiritual maturity "it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age". Many Christians make the fatal mistake of thinking Paul is talking about secular maturity and that we should care about worldly things like money, career, etc.

Jesus does not make us adapt to the evil ways of our world but sets us apart from it. (John 15:19) We'll be hated by everyone as a consequence however.

  • Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature. 1 Corinthians 14:20

And also 1 Corinthians 13:11. Paul sounds like he's talking about secular maturity but Paul is actually talking about spiritual maturity. Many Christians make the mistake of thinking Paul is talking about secular maturity. Why I said before that many teachings of Paul doesn't apply today is exactly for the reason they are prone to misinterpretation because Paul meant them for an audience quite unlike us. I think we already discussed about this ages ago where I gave you verses from Paul Himself and others all the reasons why.

I really hope you're paying attention to all the details I'm sharing you. You're desperate to have an encounter with God and I'm telling you how.

You just need to ascertain for yourself the teachings of Jesus is the truth and have the faith to follow them.

Because according to our recent discussions, I keep quoting verses from Jesus and the disciples to you but you keep having beliefs that are in contradiction to the things Jesus is saying. You keep defending the worth of money despite Jesus and the apostles saying that money is detestable. You have more faith in money and modern medicine keeping you in good health and alive than God keeping you in good health and alive by supernatural means.

Most Christians think the same. Even churches preach the same thing so I can't blame you for thinking that way because most Christians think the same. I used to think the same as well. It's probably the same things you keep hearing among Christians so you end up believing exactly the same.

  1. What was the cultural context in which they were asked to "act like men"?
  2. Can such events happen in the present days where similar teaching applies to us?

I was talking about wicked men who say they have faith and are childlike but left their little children and their wives. This is not spiritual maturity, neither is it childlike. I wasn't referring to secular maturity.

Jesus Himself said use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings. I already told you that God uses me to feed and provide to thousands in need whom He put under my care.

You have more faith in money and modern medicine keeping you in good health and alive than God keeping you in good health and alive by supernatural means.
I didn't defend money nor my faith is in money and modern medicine but for your sake I will repent and seek forgiveness from God.

has that been hidden from you eyes?
It wasn't hidden from me. I was trying to hide it so that not everyone can hear and for the thoughts of many hearts to be revealed. It is one of the way of speaking in tongues and parables. :)

There was actually one account I know of a missionary trying to convert a "remote" Indian tribe living in the jungles, previously untouched by civilization where the Indians are completely unable to grasp the concept of salvation, crucifixion etc. So the missionary made something up the Indians would understand. The made up story wasn't Biblical, but, the Indians end up accepting Jesus.

The missionary did well. He won the tribe for Jesus but I doubt his made up story would be acceptable preaching to people living in modern civilization.

If I can get hold of this story again, even better, find an online source, I'll let you know. Apostle Paul dealt with similar circumstances meeting gentiles coming from highly diverse cultures.

I was talking about wicked men who say they have faith and are childlike but left their little children and their wives. This is not spiritual maturity, neither is it childlike. I wasn't referring to secular maturity.

I agree and I already told where my beliefs stand concerning being childlike back in post #24.

No need to keep bringing this up because I already told you I agree with you about taking care of people under our care.

Jesus Himself said use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings. I already told you that God uses me to feed and provide to thousands in need whom He put under my care.

Now that you said that to me. You're doing a great thing. Continue with what you do. If you're using money, then continue to do so. If I had spare money, I might even fly to your place, see the work you've been doing and donate you some money. I'm not your enemy.

The only thing I've asked you to change is stop speaking about money like it's nice thing (Jesus never did). But I never told you to stop making money and if I could donate money to your cause, I would.

But my situation is so tight right now, I have to ration my food and eat way less each day to help stretch my budget. This isn't a call for help. I actually feel great despite eating little food and my physical strength did not diminish at all not even a little bit. There are people in much worse situation than I am (their needs are of much higher priority). My headaches are gone and my life long poor memory is no longer a problem so perhaps my situation is actually a blessing?

I didn't defend money nor my faith is in money and modern medicine but for your sake I will repent and seek forgiveness from God.

I believe I'm wrong this time and I apologize and I will repent and ask forgiveness from God.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way. You're doing a great work for the Lord but maybe you're thinking a bit more like Martha, than Mary? I think you only need to do one teensy tiny tweak to get things perfect then you'll be ready to meet the Lord much more closely.

Now that you said that to me.
I do my work in secret before the Lord as we do not publish our good deeds. I also gave you an example that there are Christians like Joseph under whom God put many people to care for and to provide, who save for the future need to feed the people, who are not following prosperity gospel but you wouldn't acknowledge and kept misunderstanding constantly.

Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen, and have believed. John 20:29

No worries. It's my fault why you said what is meant to be secret (our good works).

When Jacob did it, he ended up with a limp for the rest of his life. Perhaps wrestling with God isn't the best idea.
A sword will pierce your heart. Luke 2:35.

I think Mary had to wrestle that when that happened. I'm hurt already. He shares in my suffering and comforts me.

His presence shall be a gift which He already promised, not an outcome of my wrestling. It's just about the waiting part.
