Multiple members of Congress, including members of Wisconsin’s own delegation, debunked Sherman’s false claim. According to several congressmen present, Trump’s use of the term “horrible” was specifically tied to these systemic problems, not the city or its residents.

I'm glad to see swift action. All Americans can help stop the media hoaxes from spreading so fast.

We have nothing but hearsay on that meeting. I don't trust what anyone says about it. I have to say that the Associated Press should not have accused Trump in the title of their article without better support. They admit in the article that there were conflicting accounts.

I'm losing count of the illegal and immoral things this guy has done. And you want to complain that he didn't call somewhere horrible?

Really?

I heard he once put a kitten up in a tree and didn't help it down. That's a felony in NYC if they can find someone to testify.

Both sides puts a "spin" on things often (very often) we have no idea what is really going on most of the time.

Ridiculous.

If the convicted felon Trump did not say what he said, congress people would be saying he did not say it. But that is not what they are doing - they are trying to clarify what he was referring to calling Milwaukee as 'horrible'

"Several congressmen who support Trump and attended the meeting argued he was referring to crime and voter fraud."

"Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung posted on X that Trump “was talking about how terrible crime and voter fraud are.”

He said it, and they are not denying it. They are simply trying to clarify why he said it.

After all the terrible things Trump has said about Democratic cities and states, I laugh at the thought of people trying to call this fake news. LOL

Own your leader and the awful things he says. You defend him on his criminal actions....why not own this 'little and irrelevant" statement.

It is interesting that they are actually getting called on it. Their tactics are that obvious
Some people said he said nothing. Others said he did but it was about law and order. Some others say he was talking about the state government. others about voter fraud.

You'd think that if they wanted to deny what he said then they'd all get their stories to agree.
