Do you support peace talks to end the war in Ukraine?

Zelenskyy was elected president based on his agreement to end "issues" that were blooming into a bad situation with Russia.

Once he was in office, the USA directed Him to not keep the "MINSK Agreement".. and that is 50% of the reason that Putin went in..

There is a joke about a leader saying he loves peace talks so much that he hopes they continue for many years to come. Peace talks? More like surrender, with Russia dictating many terms. I am not even sure there are neutral parties that could legitimize peace talks. China has a plan, Nato has a plan. Switzerland was trying but Russia rebuffed them. Whose to say that Russia will stop its aggression or even abide by the terms? Or will Russia support China as it tries for Taiwan next. The USA is being challenged because of weak leadership on so many fronts.

Yes, I do. It is the only option for America. We do not belong on the Russian border any more than the Soviets belonged in Cuba. There are historical issues there that predate American itself. that none of us really understand.

The only course for American is what Trump said: Sit them down, and get the shooting to stop, but not with military aid.

My typos really irritate me. LOL.

I support any reasonable attempt to bring a peace agreement. Who wouldn't?

The fact that this has become a political issue in the US has lead to a lot of dishonesty on both sides.

Yes, there have been provocations of Russia and NATO has been pushing Russia into what the Russian's consider to be an untenable situation.

However, it is also true that Russia has been trying to essentially make Ukraine a puppet for nearly two decades. This has included attempted assassinations of Ukrainian leaders, and sponsoring insurgents and revolutionaries within Ukraine.

Expecting the Ukrainians to just lay down and allow the Russians to walk all over them is unreasonable. None of the Americans who seem to expect Ukraine to do this would ever tolerate the same themselves.

Long enough that china, Iran and N. Korea also have a chance to see if they can wrestle some power away from the USA. The escalation of the week goes to Japan. China launched a missile over their air space and Japan sent a destroyer down the strait of Taiwan.

The other 50% is that we, the USA, broke our word. When Germany re-united, we promised Russia that NATO would expand NO further eastward.
