Its getting harder....

To want to spend a single penny every again on beauty cream.

I put it on at night

And

In the morning, it's still there, right where I left it

Bicycling for exercise, on safe trails and safer less car traveled roads. When in 20s and 30s, could easily bike 10-20-30-40+ miles in one sitting, once even done 105 miles in one day. Now, with arthritic runners knees, in my case bikers knee, now over age 50, I do good to do only a few miles on the bike at a time.

There’s a big, state-of-the-art “Y” near me that feels like an old folks mall. I prefer the mixing of ages to (1) make me feel younger and (2) so I can give youngsters a hint that I can do more push-ups than they can—that they should do

It’s harder not to laugh at the pharmaceutical commercials that make it look chic and ecstatic to take their meds. Oh, then there’s the weird med names. Do they even use focus groups to select names? I wouldn’t name a pet after them. Oh brother, they’ll read this and start naming veterinary meds for man’s best friend.

It's harder to cope with having to tell a machine why you have phoned that particular company and then go through various options before somehow getting to speak to a person. When you do it's someone in Head office not the local branch you wanted to contact. What happened to personalised customer service?

With you on that one! With all the prompts, I feel like I'm being taken through all those entryways we'd see at the beginning of the TV comedy, "Get Smart".

...harder not to whistle when I'm in public. Whether I'm hiking around the neighborhood or in the mall, the sound of birds or a tune from a loudspeaker can put me in the mood.

I attend an "expressive" church. Thankfully the music was loud and everyone was into worship. I started to whistle a few notes, not even detected by my better half. Caught myself and straightened up to go into a baritone.

Your post reminded me of a Dear Abby, or maybe it was Ann Landers, column I saved decades ago, concerning the English language. I'm pretty sure I still have it somewhere but it would take some effort to find it. But I did locate it at the following link... about halfway down the page.

Remember When Hippie...
...and "Hang Ten!" sure has more dramatic flair that "Give me five!"

You can still pee? I'm jealous!

Finding it harder to lift my leg to have a pee these days! Woof!
Our senior dog is having the same problem. His back legs are really bad. Unfortunately I don't think he'll be around much longer.

Petros2015 comment reminds me of a quip by George Burns, the centenarian comedian.

He said of old age -

"First you forget names.

Then you forget faces.

The third stage you forget to pull your fly up.

Finally you forget to pull your fly down..."
