This is such a bad idea. American lives should come first, not politics. Americans are going to be involved, although the article says no troops will land in Gaza. If the United States is involved in Gaza it should be to help return American hostages.

Just thought it perhaps was why a pier was wanted ... maybe as possibility of why that is being looked at ...is all ... no other intension

The US refutes they were not from the United States .... we really don't know for sure ... don't find anything about where the packages were actually from.

Well, see the pier story predates the aid-packages kill civilians story, so your “could be” is in error.

Since they’ve announced the intention of building a pier we can deduce that they’ve already looked at the logistics of attempting such; this would indicate that this idea has been in the hopper for a few weeks at least.

It is true that international aid agencies frown on air-lifting/dropping in general, but the “it’s better than doing nothing” rule would seem to apply.

The pier will (likely) come under attack (at some point) and recriminations can begin anew, then.

Which is why I said in the other thread that this has disastrous potential. Pier gets attacked and in go boots on the ground.

The USS liberty came to mind as well.

Reports I saw was 5 people were killed from air drop of aid packages whereas the parachutes didn't open.

No, I was referring to Joe's choice to put Americans in a war zone, miles away from where terrorists who want to kill Jews and Christians are located. It's the same mindset Joe used with migrants, women and children are sex trafficked and sold into slavery for what Joe and his people see as the greater good for the party. In this case Joe want to appease the backers of jihadists in this country, and is willing to sacrifice lives of American soldiers to do so.

Please no racism, from the river to the sea needs to be rejected, there and here in the U.S. The story is about the U.S. putting American troops into a war zone. Joe has cost enough lives, Ukraine, Afghanistan, and all of those lives lost due to his border policies.
