  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

"Friendship" :) :)

So recently I discovered the :heartarrow:"I Love Lucy" channel on Pluto TV!

Tonite, I caught Lucy and Ethel singing the "Friendship" song by Cole Porter.
It brought a smile to my face ... maybe it will to your's, too!

I love this clip. When I was growing up, we didn't have a TV in our house, but our mum often took us to visit an elderly widow, where we'd often watch Lucy with her. The lady we visited always served us with a cup of tea and biscuits which she wheeled in to the room on a trolley. Gillian
For "biscuits' read 'cookies"

How special your "I Love Lucy" memory is ...
I have fond memories of watching the show as a youngster, too, but nothing quite as special as yours!

There is something sort of timeless about the "I Love Lucy" show ...
it still makes me smile when I watch it today!
