And Ramaswamy is out.

That's it. Means my vote is for Trump now too.. I'm no longer undecided because Ramaswamy was my option.

I'm going to say that Trump just won 2024, period.

It was the largest win for a contested presidential caucus in modern Iowa history.

So let the comedy begin:

hahaha... It's going to be a fun ride!

The American People went to the ballot box during a winter blizzard and chose Donald Trump to be the next President.

Strange, last time I checked it was just the Iowan primary for the presidential candidate of the Republican Party. Or at least the fake news spreading, America hating Mainstream Media was telling me that. I missed that the totallity of the American People went tot he ballot box and I have missed the option to chose a candidate from another party. Or are all people outside Iowa not American anymore? Are Democrats and Independents not American anymore? Is the American People now reduced tot he Republican caucus of Iowa?

I especially look forward to Trump pulling out of NATO and Russia invading mainland europe. I should start training with drones so I can blow up a few Russians.

I've said it before, I'll say it again...

About a third of this country has gone completely, frighteningly, insane.

It's funny you ask that. I have a neighbor a few houses down that has a sticker on their car that says "Are you a Democrat or an American?"

Of course, why else would they be the first to vote if not?
An interesting comment that brings to mind why there's a single date nationwide for general elections. Once upon a time, states held general elections on different dates. In the day when travel was by horse and ship, this wasn't a big problem as it took time for information to travel. The introduction of the telegraph changed this, and states that held their general election earlier than others could swing the election elsewhere. The solution was to make a single date for the election.

Maybe a single date for all primaries would be a solution. But primaries are a fixture of political parties, and that might be hard. But note that political parties haven't chosen to do the same thing. Interesting thing, that.

Why if Iowa loses their rightful first place, corn ethanol would disappear overnight and we might get a more sane agricultural policy! If that happens the communists win!

The " American People " is a rather broad lable for such a small group of voters. History tells us most candidates who win the Iowa caucus do not end up being the GOP candidate. Just my observation. Be blessed.

I think the level of Trump's lead is too much to ignore...

It's never happened.

If it was closer I would agree, but the lead just blew it up... Trump got more votes than every other candidate combined.

It amazes me that Christians in good conscience can vote for Trump. I’d rather not vote at all if there were no viable alternatives.

I agree with some of his policies, as I’m sure many do, but he’s morally bankrupt and far too unstable and a liability to hold that much power again, especially given his track record.

Russia will be loving last night’s result.

People keep spouting the above, but under Trump prices were stable, gas prices low, our border was secure, and we weren't facing down the barrel of WW3.

If that's "unstable", I'm happy with it.

Your idea of stability and mine clearly differ.

Some people must be wealthy and heavily invested in the MIC ...

I'm not.

What timeline were you in…? Because in mine we were on the outs with our allies, earning praise from dictators, extreme civil unrest over open violation of human rights in US soil, and it was called off an attempted coup occurred where if secret service was even 90 seconds slower, we would have had numerous assassinations of political figures, including the Vice President, because of Trump’s refusal to participate in a peaceful transition of power.
Some people must be wealthy and heavily invested in the MIC ...

I'm not.
Now I know you *must* be joking if you think Trump wasn’t catering to the wealthy.

Again, voting for Trump is like being a turkey voting in favor of Thanksgiving.

Part of me thinks that after 4 years of watching this guy do everything but openly commit murder in order to satisfy his narcissism, anybody who votes for him deserves what they get, but I’m not willing to implode the country in order to teach people who don’t understand politics a lesson in reaping what they sow by electing somebody as insane and unstable as Trump.

I swear. Seeing this play out is like watching somebody in an abusive relationship say “sure he beats me up, steals from me, verbally demeans me, blames me for everything, cheats on me, and doesn’t care about me… But there was that one time he one thing nice for me because it suited his needs too, so that makes the abuse all worthwhile.”

Indeed. The GOP and its voters have shown they are completely committed to DT to the end.

One people, one nation, one leader or something like that.
