He makes His Home in us through His Holy Spirit. His Holy Spirit regenerates us into Holy vessels and seals us for the Kingdom of God. His Holy Spirit, while on earth in the believer, conforms one into His image through conviction and repentance. Also known as the Comforter, Helper and Counsellor, He keeps us in peace.

John 14
15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

John 14
23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

Also prophesied by Isaiah

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

The Holy Spirit is a Person.

He is the third Person of the Holy Trinity.
The Holy Trinity consists of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are Three Divine Persons in One God.

The Holy Spirit comes to live in our hearts when we are born again in Christ.

The Holy Spirit is God

In a way He is. The Holy Spirit is within us always after we are born again. The Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit, that means He speaks directly to our spirit. We can't hear the conversations but they talk every day.

Romans 8:16
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:.../KJV

(I believe) that our spirit speaks to us as our conscience or through our conscience. It's not the Holy Spirit, it is our spirit whick speaks to our carnal mind. We say, my conscience is bugging me, not realizing that it is our spirit. Our spirit/conscience is the voice which tells us, don't do that!

Our soul is comprised of our mind (intellect), will and emotions.
Our spirit is comprised of our, conscience, fellowship and intuition.

Spirit and soul are bound together, so there's the proverbial good angel bad angel on the shoulders that they speak of. they don't get along.

Oh, Our Body isn't a whole lot. Head, trunk and limbs and is a temporary dwelling for our spirit and soul. I live in a rusty Nova that's due for a trade in, lol!

So the good wolf is the Holy Spirit and the bad wolf is the carnal mind (soul).

In our spirit is much Wisdom.
Our Carnal mind is an Idiot.

it is the perception of our heart/soul which effects our will and emotion ...if our perception of self be corrupted ( as a third part swept from heaven ) then so is the other two parts being our will and emotion ....

You're saved, right? Can you feel the Holy Spirit within you? I can. It's weird though, it's not like a "feeling" an emotion is, it's more of a, "perceiving" than anything else. But He is there and I know it.

The more attention that you pay to Him the louder He will speak. Scripture says read the Word everyday and it also says pray without ceasing! In other words, let God alone be in your thoughts all the day long. It is that type of communion that builds a great relationship. Be led by the spirit and not the flesh.

Holy Spirit has quickened my spirit many times. He does this when He wants to point something out, or to let me know that what I am watching is true or not. There is a lot of teaching on youtube and testimonies which is better than cable tv because I can choose what I watch. Several times He does that to me while I am watching. I'm getting off track.

I think maybe a lot of people mistakenly think that they only hear one voice in their head and may not realize that there is at least 3 different voices that I hear regularly. WHen I started paying attention I realized that it's not that, well sometimes I think this and sometimes I think that...But it is, our Carnal Mind, our Conscience, and our Heart all speaking to us. That's three. And if you pay attention, they all speak differently so they are easily recognizable when the first speak. The Carnal mind is the one that always says, no that wasn't God! Go for it, do it! It will be fun! Pleasurable! Our Conscience is always very well spoken and will always know the best thing to do in any given situation. (I have a great testimony about that!) I found myself being searched for by three squad cars so I took off walking. I've a bad back so couldn't go far. Yokes! I began praying almost immediately and it was fast response! I heard a voice inside me that said turn right at the corner! Somehow I knew it was the Holy Spirit because it was like He turned up the volume for me to be able to hear Him easier!

Turn right again in the alley...

And I did everything that voice said to. I have a bad back from an auto accident so I had to stick close to home and just stay on the move. A few times when I was crossing an intersection I would look up the street and see a police car crossing over a few blocks down! He let me rest several times and said just sit right there. Then after about doing this for 45 minutes or an hour all of a sudden the voice said, ok they left, it's safe to go home. I bet I didn't leave a 12 block radius from my house, and I found out later that there were three police cars cruising for me in the same area. The Holy Spirit walked me right through all of them! Praise the Lord! That was fantastic.

Yeah, it's like, our spirit gives his input and the Carnal intellect give his input. Our Soul is largely in charge of our flesh body, and the spirit is longing to be fed...and there we are with our free will in the middle so we have to make a choice, a decision.

Which Wolf do we feed? The soul only wants pleasure for the most part. If he gets fed more by indulging in the ways of the world (take your pick!) then you wind up letting your soul control your flesh body, which we are scripturally instructed to overcome and be led by the spirit.
The spirit always gives us the choice to do the right thing, or the better thing. We feed our spirit on the word of God. By reading His Word every day. If you do not read your bible everyday then your spirit will be starved.

Feed the Good Wolf!

love the two wolves parable ... it speeks to the two sons pictured in a myraid of forms throughout the scrip ... as in what seed do you sow in your garden being what you eat ...

How do you like that? The Lord has a good sense of humor. He dropped us into a war on a hostile planet and we are all behind enemy lines. He gave us Amnesia. All we have in our pack is a Field Manual (The Bible), a Radio (Prayer), and a contact to meet up with that will be our helper and teacher (The Holy Spirit).

Yep. Quite the sense of humor! No wonder the most repeated phrase in the Bible is, do Not Fear, Fear Not, dont be Afriad! We look around us and it looks like they have us surrounded. I can already tell that the Hebrews that were in Bondage in Egypt had much better life than we have.

Everything we can see is forboding of death in our country (perhaps the globe?) And our instructions, don't worry, read and talk on your radio a lot to headquarters and your team leader will tell you what to do and where to go. Look to unseen it says. Talk to the unseen. Believe in the unseen. Seek Him, it says! We're playing Hide and Seek in a mine field?

I can testify many times over about the truth of the word. Like Peter walking on water. He did do that. But he only walked on water when he believed enough to committ hs weight to the water. And he didn't start sinking until he took His eyes off of Jesus (To Us, the Unseen)

This is better than any movie I ever seen. Could you believe for God to part a big river for you so you can escape from the Beast who is chasing you to give you the mark? It's simple to do, but it is hard to do. But! It gets easier! All you have to do is committ your weight to the water without taking your spiritual eyes off of the unseen Lord! Because that is what the Lord does, He responds to Faith in Him. Look to Him first and quickly when a problem arises!

That's called stepping out in faith. That sort of puts the ball in the Lords court. And you know what? He told us that He would never leave us or forsake us, and I can certainly testify of the truth of that? How many Testimonies would you like to hear?!

That's the hard part. I'm working on it though.

It's like every single decision that we decide every day is a test for us. To choose the better thing.

That's right. So it is important for us to diligently guard our heart from the corruption of the younger because he obviously does not respect his elders! I found out that a good way to smack your soul into subjection is by Fasting and Prayer. To force yourself to not eat by choice for a period of time denies the flesh control. And he is chanting Beef! Pizza! and it does look good and does smell and is your favorite. So you fast for a week and figuratively punch your soul in the the mouth. You will not eat. You will fall in line and be subjected to the will of the spirit!

Again, Reading the Bible is food for your spirit. You can feed him good and you will grow to have a strong spirit! Or you can neglect him and he turns weak.

As I sit in poverty, I grow rich in the Word. !! Praise the Lord Indeed.

That's a good point. The time for fasting is the time for darwing closer to God.
