That has absolutely no business being in a state capitol building. Neither does a statue of Jesus, Buddha, Shiva etc.

If somebody were to smash up a nativity scene at the state capital would you consider that good work, or is vandalism only acceptable when it's not targeted at something you find important?

thank you this is a secular country now if people want to have all faiths represented then that is fine, but I would feel the same way if it had been of Jesus.

because this is a secular society and Christians are not the only ones on the block that and taking it upon yourself to deface other people's property is unacceptable and illegal behavior.

and we are not either never have been. In fact many of the founders were Deists (not Christians). Christians are not the only people who live in this world and nation and as such as much as we may disagree with other people's religion we may not deface their property just like they may not deface ours. Moreover, that had no business being on state property anyway because this is a secular society, but in any case what this man did was unacceptable and he should face charges. In fact in some states he could face more serious charges than he would for defacing other property that was not of a relgious nature since doing so in many places makes it a hate crime.

I'm sure the Satanists will talk about what a good little Christian boy, or girl, you are while they indoctrinate your children/grandchildren in the After-School Satan Club. Maybe they will even invite you and your family over to the Satanic Temple for dinner and tell you how tolerant and compassionate you are, and how much secular society appreciates your example to all those other mean ol' Christians. As for me, I'll be keeping my Scottish Claymore sharp, waiting for Baphomet to show up at my statehouse.

Also, I agree with you that it shouldn't have been there in the first place. Glad someone decided to take it down.

Well, the demon worshippers should also stop. We have a separation of church and state in the US, so it is best to keep the demon worshippers' statue out of there, as well as remove the Christian and Buddha statue also.

They aren't demon worshipers though. They are essentially political trolls trying to make sure the separation of church and state happens by taking advantage of the same things Christians are.
