Steel yourself for whatever is coming to replace us when we're gone. Whatever it is, it won't be a nice as what we all grew up with, and that's for sure.

Some of us won't survive the transition.....I'm fairly certain that I won't. But it's been nice while it lasted.

Case in point. This is a massive disaster in the making----and the captain of the ship blithely keeps the helm pointed dead straight at the waterfall looming ahead:

the article said:
The latest lowlight from California Democrats comes from the state’s Legislative Analyst’s Office, which is projecting a $58 billion budget deficit over the next three years after delayed tax payments came in $26 billion lower than expected. In May, California released a budget that contained major cuts to try and make up for a $32 billion budget deficit, or at least kick that can down the road a little further.

They pushed ahead with a mandatory $25-an-hour minimum wage for medical employees that contains no delay mechanisms and will cost the state $4 billion in fiscal 2024 alone. California also jacked up the minimum wage for fast-food workers and has the ability to continue to do so every year through 2029, with fast-food restaurants raising their prices in response.

The vicious cycle then continues, with high taxes and ever-increasing prices driving low- and middle-class families out of California. That leads to a smaller and smaller tax pool for the state to drain money from to keep up with its spend-happy policies. That results in bigger budget cuts for things such as water storage, energy, and transportation. That leads to a lower quality of life, encouraging more people to move out as taxes remain high and prices continue to go up. And on and on it goes.

Looking back 20 years ago technology and Media molded us into what we are today. I was part of the tribalism as a conservative. The politicians mimic the populace. The other side can't be trusted even with media sources. I've always been one to look at both sources because I wanted to know what my enemy was talking about. I started listening to Hannity and Colmes because I liked hearing both perspectives, Boy did it hurt when the media criticized my team but they were right at times. My team against your team mentality "I don't care how much cocaine they snort as long as they win!" just keeps us distracted from real issues that affect all Americans our health and finances.

I lost a lot of trust in my government when I found out about health. I asked myself where is the FDA? They're forcing me to take a COVID shot while allowing corporations to poison me. Our doctors are just pill pushers. Foods that make us crave more. False science from the sugar industry. The list goes on...

Once I learned a little about the economy and finances and the dangerous path of our government spending, I left my tribe and begged God to remove all sources of tribalism. Republicans have been talking about debt for 15 years and here we are 120% debt to GDP and also they are a major cause of debt with trillion on wars. The left is the same broken record. I was naive to think our politicians knew what they were doing with fiscal policy.

As a Boomer, I'm embarrassed for what I left my kids. Besides the Kuwait war, I had 30 good years of peace and rock & roll. Now I left my kids with wars and rumors of wars. I can't blame millennials they grew up in the mess boomers allowed. Peace

I feel like we've been 'duped', and for a very long time now.

I honestly don't know how people make it thru life these days without faith in Jesus Christ ...
