Civilians will die in war it is that simple and sad they always have and until Christ comes back they always will. Moreover I recall reading that Israel actually was tracking civilians to try to prevent killing them as much as war allows.
How on earth does a 2,000 lb bomb, dropped into an extremely tightly packed urban area track who it kills? I'm keen to know. Was there some way it could differentiate between a terrorist and a mother trying to protect her child?

From what I understood what they did was when they told the civilians to get out they had some system (not sure what) but to see how many civilians were still in the area.

I'm sure that fantasy helps you cope with the death toll.

no matter what you do civilians WILL die in war it is THAT simple. Israel did not start this they reacted we can debate all day long whether they overreacted underrected or what but civilians die in war. In fact you are more likely to die as a civilian than you are as a combatant.

Thanks for the heads up...

Now all you have to do is consider how many you think is acceptable. Maybe the current death toll for children (just so we know they are not Hamas) is ok with you.

It is not that I feel any death toll is "OK", but that I realize in war death of civilians is just a fact. Are there things that can be done to try to reduce those numbers yes maybe Are there laws that forbid combatants from just outright shooting any civilian hey see yes, but as to an "acceptable death toll I am not quite sure how you (or anyone) wants to define that because short of just literally shooting civilians or saying look let us bomb that civilian house over there (both of which are immoral and oppose the laws of combat combatants are not really meaning to kill civilians it is just a fact in a war zone that civilians die no matter what steps are taken to reduce those numbers,

Then the numbers don't matter. Just keep on bombing the place until no terrorists who were there are alive. The civilian deaths are irrelevant.

When did I say that it is acceptable for them to just go killing civilians I did not and neither do the laws of combat,

Apparently you think that civilian deaths are acceptable. So you need to decide if the number of deaths are irrelevant in achieving the aim.

I believe you are catching on to the root of America's Trump conundrum. Those who still cheer that "Americans are waking up" are ironically the same who cannot watch the news because they might accidentally need to reconcile their misguided perceptions with reality. It is more than a little ironic lol.
No - I have not watched cable tv since before G.W. Bush was in office - I refuse to pay for cable and really don't have the time. Personally I read from both sides of the issues.

I have always been cautious in labeling opposing positions as "misguided perceptions with reality". It comes across as pedantic and to an extent arrogant almost to the point of being closed minded.

I fully support your political position and while I can't imagine ANYONE choosing Joe Biden over - oh, a bad of hammers perhaps. I wouldn't begin to think you are ignorant, confused or lacking anything - you just have a position differing mine.

I don't care how it comes across at this particular juncture. We've dealt with this Trump conundrum far too long because of closed minded folks. Have a nice day.

Thanks I have really great days!

IMHO. The only way to learn from each other is through open discourse, assigning motive or the level of intelligence on the other half of a debate, ignoring or not wanting the counter point discussed is not exactly the sign of an open mind.

That is the goal of summarily dismissing a whole group of people.

Which BTW is including more and more Democrats.

It is a conundrum that a man who has been indicted with 91 felonies, impeached twice, has a 98% negative reporting is supported by a growing contingent of people. And is polling equal to or above the incumbent President

Americans love an underdog!
One who was born rich and worked his way through billions of other people’s money, to “retire” to the Presidency not just once (so far) but looks to be a juggernauting his way to a second term will have people talking about it when they carve the history slabs in 20 years.

Perhaps.

IMHO it shows how weak Joe is after being in the Government for half a century, there are people in his own party (not just few), thinking the person described above would be better. Doesn't that make you curious?

I think it's important to keep in mind that with regards to economics, the absence (or removal) of a bad plan could be seen as a "step up" depending on the current economic climate.
Sadly, their perception of the plan may not accurately reflect.

There's nothing bad about the current plan that the Republicans could fix. And I absolutely know that.

I'm not aware of any high profile Dems who think Donald would be better than President Biden. I'm aware of numerous high profile Republicans who think the opposite.

I am not sure "acceptable" is the right word. Do I understand they will happen yes so I guess if that is how you are defining acceptable then yes I find them acceptable do I feel that those deaths ( and any deaths need to be limited as much as is possibile also yes.

I never said anything about high profile anyone.

Do they cast a different or more important vote than others?

I'm not aware of large numbers of Dem voters who support Donald either. They may want someone else, but I don't see them voting for Donald.
