Once again the claim that we left $85 billion worth of equipment in Afghanistan. 1) That $85 billion was the TOTAL amount we spent on the war over the cost of 10 years. Most of it was salaries and training. 2) What every equipment still in US custody at the time of the evacuation was destroyed or taken with us.

The TOTAL cost of the equipment, not the war. The cost of the war was higher.

So let's break this down.
- As has been noted the $85 billion was for training and equipment spent during 20 years.
- The arms, ammo and equipment were the property of ANSF. We expected them to fight and they might have if Donald and Pompeo hadn't sold them out, bypassed the government and started negotiating directly with the Taliban.
- The Taliban were literally complaining that equipment left behind was disabled.
