  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What can I say? I’m a recent convert to Catholicism. After the Protestant church left me wanting I parted ways with our Lord. Went down a very dark path and was very happy!
Then the world shut down and I noticed all the evil around me. In the interim I home schooled my children and then they wanted to be back at school. We didn’t want to participate in the “new normal” so we found a Catholic school and after a year my oldest son wanted to become Catholic.
Meanwhile I’m getting back into God, listening to John MacAurther and Voddie and loving it!
My son enrolled in RCIA! I had to see what kind of propaganda he was being taught and started attending with him.
I became convinced of where I needed to be and joined the church at the Easter vigil with my son.
There is plenty of side story with this brief introduction but that can de hashed out later.
I love Jesus, I’m elated to be back in grace and am engaged in my local parish.
Looking forward to great discussions here about our Lord and our shared faith.
I am a Catholic! I do not discount the Protestant church
