  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

President Biden selected an old legal colleague of his son Hunter Biden to helm the US Office of Special Counsel, whose primary purpose is protecting whistleblowers — like the ones who have alleged political interference in the five-year-old probe of the presidential scion.

Hunter Biden tapped that firm to assist Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings in 2014 and had dinner with Dellinger and others in March that same year, emails from his abandoned laptop show.

...
...It is unclear whether Dellinger did any legal work on Burisma’s behalf.

Hunter hooked up Burisma with Boies Schiller Flexner in 2014. They may or may not have done some legal work for Burisma. This would have been one of Hunter's responsibilities as a legal advisor on the board of directors of Burisma.
How would this in any way lead to a quid pro quo with Biden senior 7 years later?

Is that a crime? Please explain.
The idiom fox guarding the hen house goes back at least as far as the 1580s. We will examine the definition of the phrase fox guarding the hen house, where it came from and some examples of its use in sentences.

Where was the outrage when Trump took people who put people in oversight jobs that worked for the same companies they would be overseeing. From some reason Trump supporters never saw an issue with putting a Verizon official as head of the FCC; Scott Pruitt at the EPA, who as Oklahoma Attorney General had filed numerous lawsuits trying to remove pollution regulations; etc.

And this doesn't even include the various Inspector Generals who were fired after starting investigations to look at alleged improprieties by Trump appointees. Where were the complaints by Trump supporters then?

As others have stated, there Is no clear conflict of interest with Dellinger. He was also confirmed in 2021 by the full Senate for his current DoJ post, not to mention he was a former North Carolina Deputy AG. This clearly looks like an instance where more evidence of wrongdoing is required of Dellinger, more than just that he worked for a company that Hunter Biden hired to help Burisma.

We've yet to see confirmation that the alleged laptop actually exists.
While there's certainly some exaggerations happening (and you may not agree with the implications the other side is making about it), I don't know that the existence of the laptop itself is in question.

If it didn't exist, then there really wouldn't be any basis for Hunter filing a lawsuit against Giuliani for illegally disseminating personal data off of it.

Per Politico (not a right-wing source)

[Hunter Biden] alleges that he is the owner of some of the electronic data obtained by the repairman, and he alleges that Giuliani and Costello’s repeated copying and accessing of that data amounts to an illegal hacking campaign that persists to this day. “In light of the foregoing illegal activities by Defendants, their refusals to cease and desist in their unlawful behavior, and their apparent intention to continue violating the law in the future, Plaintiff has no alternative but to commence this lawsuit,” Hunter Biden’s attorneys wrote in the suit, filed Tuesday in federal court in Los Angeles, where the first son lives.

It’s Biden’s latest lawsuit against those he has accused of perpetrating an illegal campaign to disseminate materials taken from a laptop he purportedly abandoned at a Delaware repair shop

...so it must at least exist. Otherwise Hunter's legal filings make no sense. "Quit sending out copies of the data and pictures from my laptop that doesn't exist" doesn't really make any sense.

So as far as we know, Hunter hired the guy's law firm and had dinner with him once, in what was likely a business dinner, and that weak connection is supposed to be a conflict of interest?
Oh cone now. You know how this works. Some folks would put their tin foil hats on and make a connection if Grandpa Joe gave one of Hunter's kids a stuffed panda. Someone getting a government job in D.C. after having worked there for years is an arrestable offense.
