You will have a body, flesh, after the resurrection. Not to sound ominous but it will be good not to have this flesh separating us from Him.
Now I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. You will have a body, flesh, after the resurrection.
2 Cor 5 (and 1 Cor 15) describe TWO Bodies not just one.2Corinthians 5:6 says among other things the words that constitute this thread's title. What do you think of it?

As long as you are alive on earth, your human spirit is not with Jesus in heaven.2Corinthians 5:6 says among other things the words that constitute this thread's title. What do you think of it?
It will be. Jesus said so.But it won’t be the flesh!
(Luke 24:39 CPDV2009) See my hands and feet, that it is I myself. Look and touch. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see that I have."Now I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
Jesus says to her, "Do not touch Me, for not yet have I ascended to the Father. Now go to My brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.'"(Luke 24:39 CPDV2009) See my hands and feet, that it is I myself. Look and touch. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see that I have."
Jesus said his body was flesh (Lk 24:39). However, it is immortal flesh. But it won’t be the flesh! A glorified body that won’t feel pain, can go through walls, is perfect and can be one with God. They handled Jesus , He ate. Maybe he was made of papier mache. His body had spiritual qualities or His spiritual body had physical qualities.
The flesh is the body, it's also fallen human nature in some passages and sometimes it's also a glorified resurrection body. It’s not the flesh.
Be specific, "evil" is not a work, it's a quality. The works of the flesh are not just the body. The world, the flesh and the devil are spiritual forces, it’s the mind too.
