  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have read Acts 9:5 so many times that part of Acts 9:5 I have SKIPPED over many times .

And Paul answers in verse 5 , And he said , who are you Lord ? And the Lord said , I am Jesus Whom you are persecuting , ( It is ) HARD for you to KICK against IRON GOADS .

Has anyone knows what , Is it HARD for you to KICK AGAINST IRON GOADS ?

In short, it means it is difficult to fight against your own conscience. The pangs or pricks of the conscience.

Some say by this Jesus recognized that much of Sauls persecutions of the Christians was because he knew he had no answer for their arguments. It was a reaction by which he was trying to resist the conviction of the holy Spirit. This does not mean Saul was conscious that these were goads, or that he even realized he had no good arguments against the believers. He was so full of fury that he could think of nothing but how he could punish the believers and stop the spread of the gospel. He was zealous for the Jewish religion.

Saul did not know who it was at first, but he knew his Hebrew Bible very well and recognized that this light from heaven had to be a divine manifestation. But the question confused him.

1 Corinthians 15:55
“O Death, where is your sting?
O Hades, where is your victory?

Well you have to remember Paul is writing to believers so a believer will not experience eternal separation from God. So because Jesus took away the sin of the world at the cross for a believer, death has lost its sting. Hades will not hold the believer

The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.

The strict Laws to be followed by the law condemns everyone. In other words no human from Adam, can perfectly keep the law

This what SAUL was fighting , the Lord Jesus and the LORD Jesus saved him and broke Saul away from being to always KICKING AGAINST the GOADS and sent Saul to the GENTILES .

These is a picture of those who are not saved KICKING AGAINST the GOADS .
