indeed we are, Lord have mercy.
yep, because morality is a Who, not a concept.Asking the wicked to be moral without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is asking dogs to fly.
There's no reference to the Word of God because the whole spirit behind the article is a move towards wholesale embracing of sin, a.k.a. "diversity and inclusion".QUOTE: "Transforming a culture of fear requires a moral "social contract" where equity, justice and love build community, compassion and solidarity. A way forward is encouraging the passionate energies of the nation's young people to reserve the logic of culture wars toward building alternative democratic possibilities."
But, of course, with absolutely no reference to Christ our Savior, the Bible, or proper understanding of mankind (i.e. that man is a sinner and desperately needs redemption.)
It's interesting to note that when the Apostles intended to go into Asia to preach the Gospel there, the Holy Spirit did not go with them, so they turned back and went elsewhere. What could this mean, exactly? I don't know, but it's something to wonder about. In the long-term perspective, morality in its entirety is impossible without faith in Jesus Christ.
Each succeeding generation will be a little more immoral (In average) than the last.
But maybe there is still time. There was still no real preaching of Christianity in China. Usually, a new nation that converts gave many saints in 2-3 generations.
maybe that evangelization is the work of God on His terms and when He knows cultures are ready for the Gospel, and not merely our own skill and effort. It's interesting to note that when the Apostles intended to go into Asia to preach the Gospel there, the Holy Spirit did not go with them, so they turned back and went elsewhere. What could this mean, exactly? I don't know, but it's something to wonder about.
