  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Furthermore
"But Schiff was helped Wednesday by more than 20 Republicans who voted with Democrats to stop the censure resolution or voted “present,” giving Democrats enough votes to block the measure."

Bravo for bipartisanship!

I think some Republicans are waking up to the change in the wind.
The only reason the Republicans didn't do it was because the 16 million dollar fine was a violation of the 6th and 8th amendments.

But they still know he was a liar.

I see. Then it was just another political witch-hunt that would have never passed, but boy did they make donation bank off of it!

Then when they try to censure him again, they will rake in more cash, while George Santos sits there smiling, lying and lying again. Funny how that will work.

No, it was a ridiculous attempt to basically rob someone of their money.

No, I don't think Republicans are into fining people. Typically, that's a left wing tactic.

And yet, here we had republicans employing a fining tactic. Apparently, the republicans ARE into fining people.

The Floridian who started this is from Florida. Over there, Republicans are experimenting with all kinds of wild tactics, including copying off the Playlist of Belarus, like by dumping migrants off at their rivals doorsteps.

This failed because the traditional Republicans stopped it.

Relieved to seem some House Republicans still refer to the Constitution.

I believe it was a percentage of the cost of the investigations that Schiff was part of.

If so, then they should have billed the government! I mean we Arizonans are paying for all the ridiculous empty lawsuits against election fraud in the state, which the republicans have lost every time, not to mention the assinine amounts of money we have to pay on the account of Joe Arpio!. No wonder reasonable republicans rejected the stupid censure. Yes, there is still hope for the republic,
