185? That's really tall man. I think the problem, like most people pointed out, is the environment you live in. Another reason could be that they see something in you they don't like but don't want to come out straight to tell you, so instead they use your height as an excuse.
Most women have an innate desire to feel protected and sheltered - physically - by their man. That's less likely to occur if the woman is larger than the man. It's really that simple, at least in my opinion. It *is* possible for women to be attracted to, fall in love with, marry, etc, men who are shorter than they are, but I don't think it's common.

You're misunderstanding me. I didn't say that the man has no free will or decision making in the process, lol. But his assertion that his ONLY chance is to find a very short woman assumes that no woman over five feet tall would be interested in him, and that's a silly thing to do, since he doesn't know who his future partner might be.
Maybe he agrees with "women should be shorter" paradigm and so he finds Asian girls to be both more attractive and a larger pool of women who will be attracted to him.
Judging by some of the other posts I've seen from this person, I don't think that's the case.
