This is what happens when you send kids home for saying what is learned in elementary school biology class.

You honestly can't make a comparison to thrash metal or anything else - because there's nothing TO compare it to ..

Next they're going to send kids home for declaring 1 + 1 = 2... It's JUST that insane...

If this was my kid I'd have done exactly what the parents did - because it's insane!

And, btw, my kid WAS sent home for T-shirts when he was in school and I never complained... But South Park and this just cannot be compared. This one is in a league of it's own, because it is something kid's have always been taught IN school, it's not an "I killed Kenny" Tshirt...

When i was in 7th grade I had no idea about men wanting to be women and women wanting to be men. I was oblivious to the stuff and i'm glad I grew up in a time where i didn't have to be caught up amidst all this politically charged lame agenda.

You have to admit adults are pushing stuff on both sides, it doesn't make either right.

Also as a kid I had stuff like "Skateboarding is not a crime" None of my parents skated, I wanted that skateboard with that logo, I represented what I wanted. No one taught me to to believe this, so it could very well be the 7th grader thought it was a funny shirt. Let's face it kids have a sense of humor, and it could all just be a joke.

Lame that teacher had to get all upset.

And Lame there is a whole law suite about it.

I mean goodness gracious is this whole thing petty. All of it. All the stuff. Leave kids out of it let the parents and teachers discuss this at parent teacher conferences. I understand why people homeschool.

Then find that definition of gender. If this is what they are being taught then you should be able to find it quite easily. Any medical paper or dictionary definition will do that says gender only refers to biological sex. Any at all.

None. I'm glad that we can agree that people experience problems with this. And that the problems are real.

Where we might differ is what can be done about it. But this isn't a thread that needs to discuss what solutions could or should be taken. As I've said very many times before, there are no 'one size fits all' solutions. Each case has to be examined individually and addressed individually. With input, where necessary, from psychological and medical experts.

In some, if not in most cases, hardly anything needs to be done. The person is happy wherever he or she is and we accept that and move on. In other cases...you and I are not qualified to give advice.

Pangender: the feeling of having every gender; this is considered problematic by some communities and thus has been used as the concept of relating in some way to all genders as opposed to containing every gender identity; only applies to genders within one’s own culture.

Paragender: the feeling very near one gender and partially something else which keeps you from feeling fully that gender.

Perigender: identifying with gender but not as a gender.

Polygender: the feeling of having more than one simultaneous or fluctuating gender; simultaneous with multigender and omnigender.

Proxvir: a masculine gender similar to a boy, but on a separate plane and off to itself.

Quoigender: feeling as if the concept of gender is inapplicable or nonsensical to one’s self.

Subgender: mostly a gender with a bit of another gender.

Surgender: having a gender that is 100% one gender but with more of another gender added on top of that.

Systemgender: a gender that is the sum of all the genders within a multiple or median system.

Tragender: a gender that stretches over the whole spectrum of genders.

Transgender: any gender identity that transcends or does not align with your assigned gender or society’s idea of gender; the feeling of being any gender that does not match your assigned gender.

Trigender: the feeling of having three simultaneous or fluctuating genders.

Vapogender: a gender that sort of feels like smoke; it can be seen on a shallow level but once you go deeper, it disappears and you are left with no gender and only tiny wisps of what you thought it was.

Venngender: when two genders overlap creating an entirely new gender; like a Venn diagram.

Verangender: a gender that seems to shift/change the moment it is identified.

Vibragender: a gender that is usually one stable gender but will occasionally change or fluctuate before stabilizing again.

Vocigender: a gender that is weak or hollow.

Kids are being taught that giant list of 100 'genders'? In school, or somewhere else? I don't have kids, so I don't know, but I was under the impression that they're mostly being taught about larger categories, like "there are trans people and non-trans people", not all these different gender labels. Maybe this is the sort of thing that varies by school or something. Huh.

I knew about trans people when I was a child back in the 70s. So there must be more to it than that.

Please. I live in the real world. Using this (and you've used it before) and treating it as 'the real deal' makes you look like you can't differentiate between this and the real world. This has as much connection with what we are discussing as a Fandom page on the Borg would have in a discussion on science.
