“My announcement Tucker, is I’m announcing that I’m running for the presidency of the United States on your program,” Elder told Fox News host Tucker Carlson during an appearance on his show, saying that he has a “moral, religious, and a patriotic duty” to run for president, noting his family’s past experiences in the armed forces.

Elder, 70, added that policing and crime are the two issues that worry him the most ahead of the next election, claiming Democrats have failed in that department.

Elder. Elder. Hmm. Let's see here. Degrees in politics and law. Looks like he's spent half his life in media, talking politics. I'd say he's qualified for the job, given his extensive political knowledge. He was only married for a couple years, with no kids. He looks a bit too libertarian on fiscal issues for my tastes, and he was an avid Trump supporter, which doesn't bode well. Given his background, he'll probably do well in debates. Well, I'll look forward to finding out more about him.

Elder has more visibility in Los Angeles/California. During the Governor Gavin Newsom recall, Elder received the most votes to replace him, but the overall recall failed.

I don't expect him to go far in 2024.

He's missing out on the first debate (and suing the RNC over it), but at least he has this going for him.

Long-shot Republican presidential candidate Larry Elder made between $1 million and $5 million from The Epoch Times, according to a new financial disclosure submitted three months past a federal deadline.

Before he announced his run for president in April, Elder had a talk show on EpochTV that promoted far-right political views.

Elder revealed multiple additional sources of income on the federal financial disclosure, including salaries each in the $100,001 to $1 million range from Relief Factor, a pain relief supplement, and Old Glory Bank

Elder, who has been a vocal opponent of abortion rights, earned up to $370,000 additional income from honorariums, including from anti-abortion centers like the Crisis Pregnancy Clinic of Southern California and Avenues Pregnancy Clinics.

He recently did a great hour long uncensored interview on The Breakfast Club that's up on YouTube, where he took on three hosts asking him questions. I liked the part where he turned the question around by host Charlemagne regarding Joe Biden's "you ain't black" comment.

Except he didn't. Elder simply stating he was surprised that the host had no reaction to a clearly offensive comment isn't the same as telling them how to think and act.

I cannot speak for @Hank77, but I will admit that this was a racist statement by Biden…but not on par with “all whites are better” or “send them back to where they came from!”, but yeah racist.

A white man telling black people they're not the race they were born as, if they haven't made a certain choice, as if he was God and can make that decision is demonstrating that he thinks he is above them, i.e. better than them. So only slightly less worse than saying “all whites are better”. And when a white man thinks he's above another race, the belief that “all whites are better” usually goes hand in hand. It seems you're just trying to split hairs.
