One such piece of archaeological evidence that confirms the Bible is the Babylonian Cyrus Cylinder, an artifact named after the Persian King Cyrus the Great. After being buried in the sands of time for almost 2,500 years, this remarkable object was discovered by English archaeologists in 1879 in Babylon. More importantly, the inscription states Cyrus allowed groups of people to return to their homelands to rebuild their "holy cities".

I knew that LONG before this cylinder was discovered.
This is a BIG story in the Bible, it has to do with the Temple being rebuilt. Also the book of Daniel talks a lot about the Babylonian captivity. They use the Book of Daniel for a lot of end time event prophecy like the tribulation.

1879, you're a lot older than I thought.

This is why I like to tell people to "keep looking," when they bring up something they claim there's no evidence for.

Emperor Taizong of Tang was an actual emperor of China, with a rule documented from January 598 to July 649. The Nalanda monastery/university is confirmed to have existed. We know where it is and researchers are still excavating parts of the site. Xuanzang is confirmed to have existed. Copies of his works still exist, and copies of texts written about him by his contemporaries in both China and India still exist.

Therefore, archeology confirms the Journey to the West.

So you are still looking for nothing, to prove that it exists?

Notice how they keep asking for evidence and when you give it to them they ignore anything that does not support their beliefs. There is overwhelming evidence that the Bible is accurate and true. Yet they continue to want to ignore the vast amount of evidence that God provides us with. Nothing could be more true than to say that they are without excuse.

You make it sound like it is a done deal. It isn't!

From the article:
The theory is disputed by some historians, according to Peter Ross Bedford in his 2000 book Temple Restoration in Early Achaemnid Judah.
Two edicts attributed to Cyrus, one in Hebrew and one in Aramaic, are described in the Book of Ezra.
Some have suggested one or both could be fabrications because they do not completely overlaps with the cylinder's inscription.
Mr Bedford wrote in his book: "The differences between these edicts have never been fully accounted for nor has the historical veracity of the edicts been substantiated."
I don't think anyone is disputing that some things mentioned in the OT actually took place.

A lot of people here claim there is nothing true in the Bible. They even tell me the sky is not blue and the grass is not green. There is no limit on the extent they will go to in their deception that there is no truth in the Bible.

You are imagining those people, then.

Half the books in the library and almost all of the TV and the movies are fiction. With all the deepfakes we are being inundated with, it appears there are more and more people who cannot tell the difference between what is real and what is fiction. I had my son take a literature class. With all of the many, many math classes he took, there needed to be some balance and he needed at least an introductory level of literature.

You appear to be overreacting. The bible is not a history book or a science book. It is a book about a nomadic desert tribe and their relationship to their God. The Hebrews were intelligent people so it stands to reason that they would incorporate events and places along with embellishments and mythology when writing their holy books.

Cyrus the Great restored the religious temples and homelands of many different peoples, even idolaters. His restoration of the Jewish temple and allowing the people to return to their homeland is why he is considered to be a moshiach, a messiah.
