No store dropped them below 1.99 here. Walmart still has a few but every other store sold put or donated their stock.
The past 3 years I go to a certain store to watch for it. It’s never an advertised sale but in store only. This year they disappeared after the holidays. I was thinking I would not be able to take advantage of it this year. I walked in today and the spiral hams were there for .99 a pound. I was so excited! Lol! Saves a lot of time and worry for the big holidays meals where ham is one of the entrees prepared. So I felt like I won today. Lol!

Same here. Don't know which store you're referring to but ours was WM. Last 3-4 years they had the spirals and others on sale anywhere from .50 to .75 a pound for at least 3-4 weeks after New Year's. Never happened this year though they had lots on hand. Like yours they disappeared. They did have nice Honeysucle turkey breasts around 7-8 pounds for .94 a pound. I have three in the freezer to bake throughout the year. ;)

Happily today at the regular grocery store I ran across large brown cage free eggs at $2.95 a dozen. Bought two dozen.

I get mine from a local grocer here. I thought I was going to miss out this year! .50 to .75 cents a pound for spiral ham is really cheap. Funny you brought up eggs! I need to go to see a friend of mine that volunteers at our rescue mission tomorrow. She raises chickens and I need to pick up 2 dozen from her. I’ll pay 5 bucks.

Seems around this time every year spiral hams go on sale. I bought 2 15# spiral hams for 99 cents a pound. Not too shabby!

I've never heard of 'spiral ham' so I Googled it.

Apparently, it's an American thing. I'm not sure if its available outside of the US.

Guess I need to check around for ham, maybe there's some on sale around here! That's great for eggs. I was happy with those I found, the last I bought were $3.79. Saw some advertised elsewhere for $3.36. Maybe they're starting to go down in price.

It's great for ham sandwiches, already sliced perfectly.
