Unfortunately this seems to be a growing issue - like the Bernie Sanders supporter who was so upset at his loss he took a rifle to a softball game shooting a Republican Congressman and attempting to kill a number of others.

This is why I support mandatory sentencing for gun violence. They should not be able to plea to any charges and have a mandatory minimum. Like 25 years to life.

You don't support mandatory sentencing for gun violations? Are you are ok with the revolving door? Once the possibility of pleading to a lesser crime is completely off the books and definitive consequences are established, I believe it would curtail gun crime. Not eliminate it, but curtail it.

Example: If you are involved in an armed assault and you know definitively you will spend 25 years in prison at a mandatory minimum sentence, you might be re thinking your actions.
