How many hours is your employer expecting you to work? I don't know what the law is where you live, but I suspect there will be some kind of working hours regulations where your employer is not allowed to make you work over a certain number of hours per week (for instance, it's 48 hours in the UK).

Unless your job makes you exempt (eg. if you're working for the emergency services, an airline, etc) then your employer cannot mandate that you work over the maximum statutory hours.

In some cases, people can sign an agreement to be exempt from the working hours regulations and this will allow them to work extra hours if they need to. However this should not be mandatory and the arrangement can usually be revoked by giving notice in writing. Check online to see what rules/laws apply to where you live. Your government's website (employment advice section) would be a good place to start.

If it is the case that your work is making you feel stressed or exhausted, it's good to approach your employer in the first instance to let them know. Maybe they can come to some arrangement with you. If they are not listening, then the next step is to put your concern to them in writing.
