A Feudal system under a different name. Many of these notable leaders salivate when they watch how China controls their population. Of course those pontificating believe they themselves will be on top of the pyramid lording over the chattel and peasants. Fascinating times we are living in.

I said the same a few years ago on the site. I kept seeing references to The Gilded Age in prominent publications and articles and knew we were going backwards. Books written on wealth inequality echoed the same and I encouraged others to read them. The reemergence of class was unmistakable and here we are. The haves and have nots. It’s going to be a painful slide.

UBI is being tested throughout the country and everyone’s quiet. Too busy with politics. Some play different year.

The World Economic Forum (WEF), in partnership with US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry, has launched the First Movers Coalition—a new platform for companies to make purchasing commitments that create new market demand for low carbon technologies. The commitments aim to be collectively significant enough to commercialize decarbonization technologies. The First Movers Coalition intends to create long-term impact by driving milestones this decade through investment into these technological solutions.

The coalition will work across eight key sectors. Seven of these sectors—steel, cement, aluminum, chemicals, shipping, aviation, and trucking—account for more than a third of global carbon emissions, but do not have cost-competitive clean energy alternatives to fossil fuels. The eighth, direct air capture, could reduce atmospheric carbon-dioxide levels to help achieve net-zero global emissions but also requires technological innovation to reach commercial viability.

As you say, same play different year. Busy, distracted, entertained, dumbed down, while the new utopian theory is put into play. But it's not as stealth as it used to be. It's in the open and most cannot and will not begin to understand it nor do they want to even consider that there is such evil intent in the world. Then it's all in place.

I did see demon seed BTW. At the time I was installing large, room-sized computer systems in the US & Europe. Interesting concept I thought. Then came the PC and I watched the technology ever expand in power and shrink in size. There was always talk of AI among the engineers and designers. Here we are. Massive technological abilities, exponential advances, astounding wealth, and non-omnipotent demons to use it all to control, at least to some point, what is not theirs.

Interesting times not too far ahead.

I can’t recall where I read it but its rumored the movie was the inspiration for Alexa and named after its creator (Alex). Which seems kooky until you watch it and then its eerie. Everything is smart.

As for AI, I knew we were heading in the wrong direction after I read an article on automated apple pickers years ago. It explained in great detail why they’re appealing to commercial farmers over migrants and the money they’d save. That was the first time I saw the slogan “robots don’t call in sick.” Round the clock performance was more important than supporting someone’s livelihood. God help us.

Which, along with rational thinking being mocked by fanatical deniers of anything but the controlled narrative, causes them to go along with the cure to supposed health or environmental survival, which in actuality is often the thing to fear. Question anything and the deniers are out in force. Robotics were always a discussion. The deeper discussions were about the autonomous thinking. Many movies foresaw this. I recall being astounded at 2001 Space Odyssey in the late 1960's. You can go back into the 1960's to some of the Twilight Zone series to see what they were projecting then about computerized mechanization of companies. God help us is right. The fact that we project & talk about these things for 60+ years before they are actually coming into reality is part of His grace. Now that the growth of all this is exponential it should tell us something about where we are in that grace. If there were fewer tyrants on the globe, that would be one thing. The fact that there are as many as there are and their desires are global coupled with the technology that's available and becoming available is quite another thing. Tyrants with manufactured versions of omnipotence & omnipresence are not good. They already think they're omniscient. They just needed the reach and to have something they think will make their presence immortal.

BTW, I agree with you re most people & survival.

There’s gatekeepers at all echelons of society. Some of the deniers you encounter in public spaces are planted including the Internet. I’ve encountered a few online who didn’t pass the smell test. Their posts had an agenda and when taken together the narrative was clear. Argument is futile. They’re best ignored.

At this point, I’m talking to those who aren’t asleep. You’ll wear yourself down with the rest and energy should be focused for greater results. If I see something I’ll pass it on. I don’t waste time with debates. It’s a diffusive tactic like argument that’s devised to move attention from the discussion to something inconsequential. By the time you’re done you’ve forgotten the point as have others. That’s the purpose.

Treat it like a watchman. No matter what they do don’t move or take the bait. Stick to your point and continue.

Whenever I think of transhumanism I remember this passage.

Agreed. The sync has become more & more transparent & they are way ahead in some things their opponents have been extremely naïve about.

Agreed again about Christians. The factions are astounding and the naivete is as well. Reminds me of Luke 16:8 & Psalm 18:26 & many others. I once heard a teaching entitled "Live and Learn vs. Learn and Live". I'm sure you can determine which one is less painful vs. why so many are in pain.

I can't tell you how much breath & digital ink I've used to try to get this point across to Christians. Many years ago, when I was first learning about the discipline from a perfect Father, it struck me how so many are suffering in it but don't know it. IOW, it's not like the immediate, harsh & clear consequences you speak of concerning the other side. It's subtle, wise, meant to make us think & learn (tying into what I said above) but it seems that most don't, and they think what they're experiencing is normal and it's just the way it is. They stay on the merry-go-round and never just step off. And here we are, in our day.

I'm not trying to change the subject, so back to the naivete. Christians are way behind in what's going on around us. I think there's been somewhat of an awakening in recent years. I'm just not sure how much. And then I watch some of the professing Christian responses, and the factions and immaturity are often front and center.
