  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The orange text on the top of quote boxes is too light, and it is obnoxious. Example:

1 Corinthians 29:2 said:
Now with all my ability I have provided for the house of my God the gold for the things of gold, the silver for the things of silver, the bronze for the things of bronze, the iron for the things of iron, wood for the things of wood, onyx stones and inlaid stones, stones of antimony and stones of various colors, and all kinds of precious stones and alabaster in abundance.

Previously, before the upgrade said text was a sensible gray. Also, the quote box had a gray background. Any way that can be fixed?

Also, in general all of the orange on the forum index is an assault on my optometrist-needing eyeballs. Is there any way that can be toned down, like made into a darker orange or replaced with a medium green? If all of the oranges are linked together, replacing them with #208735 Green would be amazing.

Agree/disagree? Any other color suggestions?

The quote boxes and the forum index are 500% better (keep that! Yes!) , but now the Reply button at the top of this thread looks murky. Perhaps if the color of the text of the word "Reply" was changed to white, that would help.

Good job, though. Things are definitely better.

Ahhh you're right. I'll see if I can change that... might have to go with a lighter option but will try to get that sorted

kk. Looks like quotes are better, but the forum index brightness and that murky reply button have an inverse relationship. I guess I'll just have to get used to it.
