your father was wrong and making false statements based off of anecdotes. you should try to get better sources. Not a "Trump Supporter" myself (I voted third party in 2020) but this is exactly what my father told me. He said, more or less, "All the presidents do it. They are just looking to bust Trump." Seemed reasonable to me.
Ignorance of the law is not a defence, especially when you’re surrounded by, and have access to, the top legal minds in the country. Those are all questions that a court of law should resolve. My guess is if Trump inadvertently did not properly mark some documents. The worst that could happen is a slap on the wrist. That ain't a criminal act. The Democratic party is desperate to get something criminal on Trump so hopefully they can bar him from running again.
Let us remember those same government agents had been in Mar-lago examining documents only 2 months before. And why didn't the agents just ask Trump for access, they did before? Why did they wait until Trump was absent and invade with an army of 30 agents in bullet proof vests carrying ar-15s? They didn't do that 2 months before.,
I will concede that Giuliani indeed has a mind... top and legal... that's not even up for debate.Ignorance of the law is not a defence, especially when you’re surrounded by, and have access to, the top legal minds in the country.
I had my TS clearance as a defense contractor and much of what I think has that level of clearance is over valued. However, I still would not share such information outside of the managing protocols.1. Why would that make a difference?
2. They were not. According to the inventory provided to Trump's lawyers after the search, there was at least one file marked Top Secret - SCI, which means that only certain people with Top Secret clearance or higher can view it - and only in special, highly-secure facilities.
Suppose you learn Trump did X in the news, say at at Fox News which has always been pro-Trump --It's an accusation made against Donald Trump. It will be years before we know for sure what the facts are.
Despite what you think the President has authority to declassify documents. Neither you nor Liz Cheney nor the National Archives has the power to override the President of the United States.
Ignorance of the law is not a defence, especially when you’re surrounded by, and have access to, the top legal minds in the country.
that and also lying that you have them at all which is the stupidest part of it. you're way beyond mistake at that point. why keep them though? going on trump's methodology he either thought they could be used as blackmail material (regardless of any relevant information they carried), or to be sold to the highest bidder (again regardless of any material), or most likely they were kept as bragging rights because trump sure does like to brag about things.PLUS that would only apply to the original taking of the documents, having them after being told to hand them over voids any such arguments of ignorance.
@MMXX @Valletta @High Fidelitythat and also lying that you have them at all which is the stupidest part of it. you're way beyond mistake at that point. why keep them though? going on trump's methodology he either thought they could be used as blackmail material (regardless of any relevant information they carried), or to be sold to the highest bidder (again regardless of any material), or most likely they were kept as bragging rights because trump sure does like to brag about things.
wait do you think people in the states are just carted away in irons if they had committed crimes without a trail? where are you from? gulagville russia? you are carrying on a fine tradition of right wing ditto heads on not knowing how the law actually works.@MMXX @Valletta @High Fidelity
All misinformed, uniformed, made up rubbish. If President Trump committed any crimes at all he would have been taken away in hand cuffs and leg irons. But they have to go to court to determine IF he did commit any crimes. So all you arm chair lawyers keep your phony opinions to yourself. None of you know diddly. Remember those same gestapo agents were at Mara Lago 2 months ago about those same documents.
Well, a nation state that wanted to know nuclear secrets (missile development, etc.-- say for example a nation that really would like to know, like Russia or China -- that could pay a lot more than terrorists, by orders of magnitude, by helping arrange a bank loan.Trump stole documents they knew he had, and hung onto them to sell to foreign terrorists, instead of just making photocopies to sell, because ... um...
this is the same idiot that would flush top secret documents down the toilet in the white house clogging them up.Trump stole documents they knew he had, and hung onto them to sell to foreign terrorists, instead of just making photocopies to sell, because ... um...
Do you think it is a small thing to indict a former President? All misinformed, uniformed, made up rubbish. If President Trump committed any crimes at all he would have been taken away in hand cuffs and leg irons.
I am retired X3. I was a Military Policeman when I retired. I have a BS in criminal justice. I like watching 4th amendment auditor videos on my laptop. Recently I saw a handicapped person who was NOT resisting Tazed over 30 times. Since he was handicapped he could not move fast enough for the police so they determined he was resisting.wait do you think people in the states are just carted away in irons if they had committed crimes without a trail? where are you from? gulagville russia? you are carrying on a fine tradition of right wing ditto heads on not knowing how the law actually works.
When I was a child, I thought my mom knew literally everything. She was my Google. I still ask for her sage advice though I now know that there is no omniscient human.your father was wrong and making false statements based off of anecdotes. you should try to get better sources.
