Then find out about the people in your church. Find out if anyone can help. It’s the body of Christ.

Help with what, teaching my kids?

I guess it doesn't matter anyway. I am not the custodial parent, their mom is. She has final say per the divorce decree in matters of religion, medical and schooling. They also live in a different county than me about 45 miles away.

She will do what she will do, and I have no real say unless they are being directly harmed. Which, they are not.

So it looks like there’s already sin in the family, which is sad and I’m sorry to hear that. But the bottom line is that homeschooling is possible if it’s a priority. We were fairly poor when we started. We found a way.

The divorce.

She divorced me and while we were separated she slept with someone else. So I am free to marry and will as I have proposed to someone recently. She, my now fiance, is free to marry as she was heavily cheated on by her ex-husband.

Right. There was sin. This affects everything.

Biblicy, I think you are on solid ground here.

No joke.

Maybe, but not on my part if so. So, I have moved on.

As far as my kids go, I have to work within the bounds of the law and the divorce decree. I cannot go against either.

Oh, I know I am. I am not worried. My relationship with my fiance is God given. Only He would give me such a wonderful woman and the best relationship I have ever had in my life.

Right. I understand that. So your children will be indoctrinated by the state, unfortunately.

I will agree to disagree that they are being indoctrinated by the state.

Or they will be indoctrinated by parents. Or their church or mosque. Someones going to do it. For me it was the state, which worked fine.

I approve of the content of my state education, though the quality was hit or miss. People can judge for themselves how it worked out for me based on my posts here.

I’d rather be the one who indoctrinates my children instead of the godless state.

Lol. Mkay.

So I must agree with you?

I don't think the school my kids go to are indoctrinating them. Then, you are a fan of Trump, don't believe the Covid vaccine works and I think even think that Covid was a scam.

I simply do not believe the same things that you do, nor am I required to.

I can understand that, even tho Id probably radically disagree with certain aspects of your curriculum.

My main point was to disarm this barb "indoctrination" thats often proposed as some kind of evil that can only come from the state.

In fact I think the state is less likely to rigidly impose ideologies upon children than religiously motivated parents. But the whole point of religious education is ideological immersion, it seems.

I actually just read your tag line under your name and it explains alot.

I will never agree with Christian nationalism.

So that's a "no."

No, that's not my position. If someone is meant to have said something there are various options available to decide whether that person has said something factually accurate.

1. He (I'll use 'he' as we're talking about Paul) didn't actually say it.
2. He said it, but he was mistaken.
3. He outright lied.
4. He bent the truth somewhat.
4. It actually happened exactly as he said it did.

Me saying 'No' to the question 'Was he telling the truth' would imply that number 3 was my choice. It isn't. I'd generally take the least argumentative option and run with 2. With a healthy sprinkling of 4.

You can pretend that the school is in line with Christ’s teachings if you want. But I’d bet money that if it’s a government school, it’s not.

It’s either indoctrination using God’s standard or the world’s standard. Christians are called to use God’s standard.
