Hi guys,

Just reading some news blurbs on MSN and came across this piece:

Millions of Angry, Armed Americans Stand Ready to Seize Power If Trump Loses in 2024

If the premise of this article is mostly true, in 5 to 15 years the United States of America may not look much different than any 'banana' republic that we've ever watched overthrow their own government. I wonder what we'll replace the election process of picking heads of government with?

Just curious. What are some thoughts out there about the United States fighting another bloody civil war in our streets?

God bless and Merry Christmas,
Ted

The people who are hoping for some sort of fascistic government to come out of the current unrest do promote stories intended to provide cover or an excuse for the hoped-for seizure of power. That's why this particular, if ridiculous, tale about an impending armed rebellion--attributed to a single, previously unknown person of no particular credibility--is being marketed now. Very similar to the way the Reichstag fire was used to change the form of government in Germany and justify that seizure of power.

They make people worry about armed insurrections from the right while secretly and not-so-secretly indoctrinating children in the schools to leftist "woke" ideologies. The cultural civil war is already happening.

Come on Ted! Who even said Trump was running again in 2024! MSN must be out of their minds even to suggest such a idea like this right now. So you REALLY think Trump would even have near the support for a resurgence in 2024 being then a 78 year old man? He would probably lose about 30% of support he has at that time even just because of his age. They'd want a younger face.

Thinking about it MSN probably thought it'd make good bate click for to bring up this idea. Always lots of people who still have Trump on the brain. Gets a lot of clicks. I asked you one other time Ted.....you wouldn't be one of them would you?

I doubt it. But the election process is shot. The populace are sheep. The gov is currently indoctrinating our kids with Marxism and perversions. What is it going to take? What could be worse than that?
Those that push this agenda are calling us "domestic terrorists" for even questioning their actions.
These Marxists do not see themselves as bad guys. They see you as the evil one and they are saving the world.

Millions, as in the plural of million? Incredible.

I don't think we will have much fighting in the streets. I do think we are on our way to more domestic terrorism. Watch and see what happens if Roe v Wade is overturned.

Well, if there was a "civil war" then whoever the military backs would win. If the military did not get involved the "right" would slaughter  the left who like to stir up riots but run away and cry in the face of actual confrontation. I suspect the police will enjoy sitting back and watching it happen. Leftist institutions would likely burn. There would be a lot of personal payback. Sad.
This is not a good thing that we should desire. Lots of innocents would suffer.
But I am sure the military would step in and most of the violence would immediately cease.
I dunno. In this increasingly dark nation... anything could happen.

Most likely, it's being sprung now as a prelude to January 6 and claims like these: "See! It was an insurrection, just as we said, 'cause now they're about to launch a follow-up assault. We need to confiscate everyone's guns or declare martial law or something!"

I donno either. It is increasingly dark.

I would almost agree with you about the 'left' being more likely to run. But the various brands of socialists have historically not been that shy about using even brutal confrontational violence to further their ends. Usually violence after they controlled the government. So I could see things going either way, from full Pol Pot to full Peronist to whatever. A representative democracy is a terrible thing to lose.

Just like what happened in the summer of 2020 when the left ran wild with its burning, looting, attacking government buildings and innocent shopkeepers and bystanders? Secession of a part of the United States was even declared with CHOP or CHAZ or whatever it was called!

No, you have the modus operandi of Left and Right backwards. Violence is a hallmark of the political Left, although not everyone on the Left; and respect for law and order is a standard of the political Right. It's the Left that wants to defund the police so that lawlessness will reign, and it's the Right that keeps calling for the maintenance of public safety.

Thanks for your response. Hoping none of this will happen and sanity will return to an increasingly wicked nation.

They will get real tired.... that's a long time to be armed and standing ready.... Sheesh.

Guess they'll all have to, firstly, be released from being jailed from the great insurrection LOL on the 6th of Jan...

It's looking like a banana republic now... no border security, inflation out of control, no law enforcement and rampant crime, a dysfunctional leader who is a puppet, a non existant VP who laughs at everything.. Not to mention a corrupt FBI, CIA and DOJ.

If this is not fixed.. there won't be an election in 2024 if ever.

Let's just get past the mid terms when the republicans take over the house and senate and try to make the country great again.

Hi @Bobber

Other than it's a copy and post article on the MSN site, MSN has nothing to do with this report. This report was on Newsweek. Am I someone who clicks on articles that look interesting to me? Yes. I'm not sure you appreciate the seemingly brainwashed attitudes of Trumpites. Who would have ever thought that an armed gang of people who called themselves 'patriotic American citizens' would have attacked and overrun the nation's capitol like we were some third world South American dictatorship?

God bless,
Ted

Armed? I did not realize they were armed. How many were shot? When compared to the thousands of leftist rioters during the last few years, how many would you say were dangerous as in burning buildings, cars, attacking innocent people, and committing hate crimes?

Hi @SavedByGrace3

Well, our nation was established as a democratic republic. That means that the nation, as a whole, is supposed to go the way that the majority of it's citizens think it should go. Whether how the government is acting today fits with your or my personal agenda doesn't really matter. The question, for a democratic republic is; is the nation going the way that the majority of its citizens want it to go.

Just to again discuss the issue of abortion. If a majority of Americans feel that abortion should be legal under some circumstance, then abortion should be legal under those circumstances. For the record, here is the technical definition of a democratic republic:

What is a Democratic Republic?
The United States government is a complex entity known as a democratic republic. This essentially means that the government operates on the principles of both a republic and a democracy. In other words, the nation functions upon principles that are common in both republics and democracies. The American Heritage Dictionary defines a republic as “a political order in which the supreme power lies in a body of citizens who are entitled to vote for officers and representatives responsible to them.” The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines democracy as “a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections.” In other words, in a republic there are a group of citizens elected or appointed to represent the people, but with a democracy the power is theoretically in the hands of usually all voting citizens. A democratic republic is a mixture of the two.

Of course, it's not as easy as all that and there are often muddy waters, but for some to feel that a minority of the people should take control of the government by force in order to enforce a minority position of government policies, laws and procedures, we find ourselves in dangerous territory and we may as well become North Korea. To have a leader who pushes his position and understanding of things overall no matter what the majority of the citizenship thinks is best for the country.

Unfortunately, what we have today is a fairly large minority that thinks they should get to run the country the way that they want it run and if we the people at large aren't willing to force our government be run the way this disenfranchised minority thinks it should be, then we should just overrun the government and install some form of a dictator or monarchy government.

Yes, I agree that some old Vietnam veteran isn't likely to change the world, but I think Jan 6, showed us that there are a lot of much younger people who are willing to do exactly what this old man is talking should be done.

I would also contend that the government is not 'currently indoctrinating our kids with Marxism and perversions'. Do you even know what the basic precepts of Marxism are?

Marxism is a social, political, and economic philosophy named after Karl Marx. It examines the effect of capitalism on labor, productivity, and economic development and argues for a worker revolution to overturn capitalism in favor of communism.

Exactly what do you see going on in our government that argues for a worker revolution to overturn capitalism in favor of communism. We are literally the most capitalistic nation on the face of the earth and I can't think of any effort by anyone that is trying to change that in our labor, productivity or economic development. Enlighten me please.

As far as the perversion claim, look the U.S. has been falling into perversion for at least the last 50 years. Gambling is legal in most all states in some form. Divorce is merely what comes after marriage. Abortion has been running rampant for at least 100 years. We lead the world in murders. I would contend that you likely aren't as familiar with what God's word warns us of as you may like to think. Man's heart is wicked!!!!!!! WICKED!!!!!!! Our wicked perversions, as a nation, didn't start with Pres. Biden and won't likely end with him or the next president or the next or the next.

If you really want to rally against the perversions of this nation, then stand up against gambling. Stop people from using alcohol and drugs to salve their pains. Put an end to murder. End divorce and remarriage and end sexual relations outside of marriage. You do that and I guarantee that you'll fix the abortion problem.

God bless,
Ted
