Usually when someone tells a poor joke, rather than laugh the hearer will groan (as if to say, I know what was supposed to be funny, but it just wasn't funny). Pun jokes are considered one of the poorer types of jokes. "Full grown" (fully matured) is replaced with "full groan" (a complete groan, as the joke wasn't really funny).
