Hogwash. He is a media hound.

That doesn't mean that he wasn't invited.

Defense attorney in Ahmaud Arbery shooting trial objects to Rev. Al Sharpton's presence in court

A man from age of 16 fighting for equal right and equal justice is a hogwash or media hound!? I am glad we see things differently !

Let's be fair here. The man has some serious issues and has done some very questionable things. I am no fan of him in particular.

I can't address a problem that vague....I can't even discuss it.

Well, you can take a pass. You've obviously been the victim of some pretty bad reverse racism in your time. You probably lost a lot of opportunities to "diversity hires" so you can sit this one out.[/QUOTE]

This is a topic people like you who have never had any experience with data analysis should just sit out.

No one says white people NEVER get gunned down by police, and NEVER have bad outcomes.

The point is that statistically it is more likely for a black man to be gunned down or have a very bad interaction with police than a white man.

This is called STATISTICS.

Cigarettes cause cancer. But not every single person who smokes cigarettes is going to die of lung cancer.

Yup...personal attacks.

It's pretty simple, you're trying to justify 3 billion dollars in damage and countless lives ruined in the worst riots in history.

It's fair to ask why you think this is justified and what the goal is.

The problem you keep bringing up amounts to somewhere around a dozen to two dozen black people a year. That's it. It's nowhere near the thousands murdered by gang violence or domestic violence in the black community.

It's a teeny-weeny eensy-weensy itty-bitty little problem that is being dramatized to the point where people believe it's a huge problem.

Cases of police brutality against black people are overestimated

Even if you don't believe the survey is well done....it's pretty obvious that a significant portion of the left doesn't realize that this isn't a big problem. It's a tiny little problem.

In fact the attention they give it has created more problems than the problem itself.

Are you kidding me???
Question #1
What is the difference between the deaths of Tony Tempa, Timothy Coffman and George Floyd?
*They were all on a lot of drugs
*They were all handcuffed lying on the ground
*The cops put a knee on either the neck or chest and kept it there till they died
(Answer)
The difference is Tony Tempa and Timothy Coffman were white and George Floyd was black.

Question #2
Which death resulted in nation wide protests, riots, and the conviction of the police involved, and which deaths resulted in nobody noticing, nobody caring, and the police not getting convicted?
And you have the audacity to imply this country does not value black lives as much as they do white lives? Really???

Tamir Rice was not a little kid. According to autopsy reports, he stood 5’8” tall and weighed 195 lbs. Though he was just 12 years old, he was every bit the size of an adult, and while wearing baggy (style) clothes, he looked every bit the size of an adult.
http://www.autopsyfiles.org/reports/Other/rice, tamir_report.pdf

No, he doctored the gun to intimidate people in the neighborhood by pointing it at them as he walked by; which lead to the cops being called by the citizens of the neighborhood.

What would you have done differently had you been the police? In the split second you have to make upon approaching a 5’8” 200 lbs person, would you assume he was just 12 years old?

I’ve got my facts straight; do you?

QFT

That post should be pinned for future use.

So white guys died the same way Floyd did. Interesting. Why was no one outraged?

This is the way Daniel Shavier died
Jacob Blake didn’t even die, but was injured from bring shot after refusing to cooperate with police and reaching for a knife in the car.
Nobody noticed or cared about Daniel Shavier’s death, but there were Nation protests and riots over Jacob Blake’s shooting. Imagine if Jacob Black been white, and Daniel Shavier been black? How do you suppose the Country’s reactions to those shootings would be different?
Of course people like Parmillia still want to pretend like black lives don’t matter in this country.

If only the media and politicians would shed light on these things.

Yup...personal attacks.

But you appear to be someone who can only see racism when it affects white people.

It's pretty simple, you're trying to justify 3 billion dollars in damage and countless lives ruined in the worst riots in history.

"worst"? In history?

The problem you keep bringing up amounts to somewhere around a dozen to two dozen black people a year. That's it. It's nowhere near the thousands murdered by gang violence or domestic violence in the black community.

It's funny you mention how "minor" this problem is in the same post where you point out the "worst riots in history". Almost as if you forgot two sentences ago what you wrote.

If you were to actually READ history you'd note that the size of the riots often indicates problems that cannot be simply ignored or tossed away as you seem to want to happen.

Because racism only counts when it affects YOU you seem to want to de-emphasize the source of these riots which you claim are the "worst in history" (a debatable point but that's for another time)

Even if you don't believe the survey is well done....it's pretty obvious that a significant portion of the left doesn't realize that this isn't a big problem. It's a tiny little problem.

If it's such a "tiny" problem why do you think there are such large riots?

And how well do you think it will be to say to the people thus affected "Nah, don't feel bad. Stop rioting. I've got it OK so we're all good!"

In fact the attention they give it has created more problems than the problem itself.

So the fact that OTHER people who are NOT YOU suffer is to be ignored because you are not suffering.

Got it.

Although it doesn't stop mainstream media from continuing to report that he's dead so that the narrative may continue.

Have you ever had a gun pointed at you? What do you think the police officer confronted with such a situation should have done?

You mean a toy gun handled by a little kid? Ummm, yeah. Quite a few times actually. I didn't feel the immediate need to kill the child.

It's interesting how you left out the part of my quote that it looked exactly like a real gun and not like the set of three bright pink, purple, and blue water pistols you can buy at the dollar store.

So perhaps you would like to try answering the question again with a serious response.

I love how you folks justify this. It's awe inspiring that there is literally no depth to which you won't stoop.

No, he doctored the gun to intimidate people in the neighborhood by pointing it at them as he walked by; which lead to the cops being called by the citizens of the neighborhood.

Wow. No, seriously. Wow. It must be hard coming up with every excuse to explain why a 12 year old was gunned down by police so that it isn't a tragedy.

Every jot and tittle of the child's existence must be PULLED APART so that we white people don't feel anything bad about the gunning down of a little kid.

Spin it how you will.

What would you have done differently had you been the police? In the split second you have to make upon approaching a 5’8” 200 lbs person, would you assume he was just 12 years old?

I’ve got my facts straight; do you?

12 years old. I was playing with toy guns at that age, probably rather stupidly as well. Maybe I should have been gunned down too. Oh, wait, I'm white.

Yeah, expend all your time figuring out every jot and tittle of why a 12 year old child had to be gunned down in the park.

I wouldn't want to spend anytime with someone who expends so much effort doing that, so by all means do it by yourself.

Because people say the problem is racism which its not. Politicians and media allowed this false notion of racism to fester until riots broke out.

That's probably because I was a kid in the 70's and I know that back then toy guns looked pretty damn real.

and not like the set of three bright pink, purple, and blue water pistols you can buy at the dollar store.

You don't know about toys from just a few decades ago.

So perhaps you would like to try answering the question again with a serious response.

Your point deserves no "serious response". You sicken me. The fact that you are a Christian and the best you can muster is a list of reasons WHY a 12 year old should be gunned down is all that I need to see.

Try having some compassion. Act like this matters. Act like a little kid's life matters. Even if he was black.
