Dearest friends,

GreekOrthodox gave me an advice to post my question here. So...

Your help will be highly appreciated :).

I have got a lovely medal with prayer inscription to Mother Mary on the Old Slavonic language:
"Спаси от бед рабы Твоя, Богородице, яко вси по Бозе к Тебе прибегаем...".

and I have interpreted it in the following way:
"Save Your slaves from misfortunes, Mother of God, as we appeal to You following the God...".

And I have recently faced another challenge to translate a prayer to Theotokos Burning Bush:
“Чертог и Дверь, и Престол Огненный нарицаем Тебе, Богородице, и Несекомую Гору и Купину Непалимую”.

The translation is the following: “Mother of God, we call you a Palace and a Gate, and a Fire Altar, and an Uncut Mount (or Clouded Mountain) and a Bush which doesn’t Burn”.

Could you, please, let me know if the translations are good enough or maybe there's a legitimate equivalent.

I do not know Church Slavonic but at least the first I know from the Paraklesis - from Troparia after the Third Ode - so in English according to the Antiochians it sounds like this: "Preserve and save, O Theotokos, thy servants from every danger. After God, do all of us for refuge flee unto thee"

I believe they are taken straight from the Canon to the Theotokos, but my Russian is non existent. If you can find an English and Slavonic version side by side then you should get an official English translation

beat me to it, yep.

I can't remember the other off the top of my head though.
