Greetings all! So happy to have found this forum, I've been lurking a bit and think I'll feel right at home here. I'm a Christian, wife, and mother to three young adults. (About my avatar: I absolutely love crows, I don't see them as bad luck, to the contrary, I find their gregarious and clever natures fascinating and they bring joy to me!)
I'm a life long Lutheran (LCMS) but that doesn't mean I'll only post in the Lutheran forum, it's admittedly just where I'll probably daily check first and naturally gravitate to. I wish it was more active, however! (My church is a liturgical one, it's where I feel most at home.)
That said, first and foremost I'm here to hopefully find online fellowship and encouragement with other Christians, Lutheran or not!
Side note time: one thing that seems missing (or I can't find) is a sub-forum/place to post and share specifically for Christians dealing with chronic illnesses. If there is one, if someone could direct me to it I'd appreciate it. Feel free to ignore the next few paragraphs about this lol - if you don't relate just scroll down past it

Recently, I was delighted to find a website called "Rest Ministries" which was ALL about connecting with others going through this and encouraging and supporting each other from a Christ-based perspective. But then I was crushed when I realized the last post was years ago - it just...fizzled out and you could hear the crickets lol. Worse still, to my dismay there was absolutely NO explanation - there was just a wonderful post, and then - nothing. Found a FB page for it, but again....nothing - maybe 2 posts in the past year, if that.
Googling the founders name and other leaders there.....nothing recent at all. It pains me to think maybe they've given up? I have no doubt it would have been a massively challenging thing to keep up with when one has chronic illness, and I have nothing but true sympathy, understanding and respect for that, I just wish there was an explanation for the very abrupt end of it all with no final explanation.
Anyway, enough whining about that - the fact is, my constant Googling for other Christian-focused online support groups for those with chronic illness has turned up nothing.
So all this rambling is to say/ask, are there any others here dealing with chronic illness/physical afflictions that wish to talk about it and lift each other up and encourage one another in faith? Is there a sub-forum I'm missing that would be about this? If not, would anyone be interested in that, and if so, could a mod could create one? I'm absolutely certain that a lot of others here deal with this as well, and I would love to connect with one another from a Christ-centered place.
-----end of that side note------
All that said, regardless of the whole chronic illness "thing," I'm just really happy to be here in general and looking forward to getting to know others and find online fellowship with fellow Christians. Thank you for reading my rambling if you got this far!
