Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank You, Father,
Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise
and prudent and have revealed them to babes.

This statement by Jesus is intriguing, for at some point both wisdom and
prudence
are addressed in a favorable light.
Here, however, the wise and prudent are disabled from the revelation of
divine truth.
A clear connection is being made to the words of Isaiah:

Isaiah 5:21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes,
and prudent in their own sight!

Jesus praises His Father for keeping these from comprehending His message,
and reserving the revelation to those of childlike ways.

Matthew 18:
2
Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them,
3 and said, Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become like
little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

4 Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the
kingdom of heaven.

A adult becoming like a humble child is the simplicity of the Gospel truth revealed.
Matthew 7:
7
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be
opened to you.

8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks
it will be opened.

This is the working of the Holy Spirit for any believer who devotes time each day
with Him in the scriptures, even as Christ Himself.

Luke 24:45 And He opened their understanding, that they might
comprehend the Scriptures.

Paul states that worldly wisdom is a hindrance to comprehending the truth.
1 Corinthians 3:
18
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age,
let him become a fool so that he may become wise.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written,
He catches the wise in their craftiness.

According to James, divine wisdom comes to the meek.
James 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good
conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
