Chapter and verse please. I know that some are ungodly.

But you need to give us the chapter and verse from the Bible that says that tattoos bring demonic influence to the wearer.

An idol is something or someone other than God, that is worshipped. I know some people with tattoos, but I don't know anyone who worships them.

I have to be honest, I dislike tattoos. I don't know that there is anything wrong with having them, although they are often associated with a spirit of rebellion. I've never had the slightest urge to get one, so I haven't worried about it overmuch.

Tattoo's are a fad gone universal.
Originally it was a fad related to the armed services.
Later, in the late '60s it became a sign that you were "radicalized".
By the early '70s, if you were a prostitute, it was a symbol of your total rebellion.
Now, in our era.... its "body art", that signifies many things..
For example, if you are a Lesbian, then one of the ways you signal to other Lesbians that you are one of them, is to have a lot of tattoo's on your arms.

I think you can do better next time, but you might very well prove me wrong.

So you are accusing my daughter who has a number of tattoos on her arms of being a lesbian? One is of our home state. Another is a semi-colon. Others have special meaning to her and no one else.

Urban legends dont fly with me.

I don't believe he said that every woman with a lot of tattoos on her arms was a lesbian. He said lesbians use it to signal their preference. Just like wearing an earring in your left ear might signal you are gay, but not every man wears one for that purpose.

Leviticus 19:28 28"'Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.

According to scripture God will tattoo us with names when we get to heaven. If you need the scripture I can post it later if you want it.

There as ways to determine if it is ok. One do you believe tattoo are wrong? If yes the for your tattoos will be taboo according to scripture. Two what is the intent behind why you want a tattoo? Scripture teaches that your intent to do something can determine if something is right or wrong. I hope this helps

I think anything can easily become an idol, if we start to obsess over it. I do believe tattoos can be addictive too, since they are a form of therapy for some. Like when one's overwhelmed by stress, they could get a tattoo, as a way of releasing the tension and building their resilience. It could start with one in the neck, then the next time it'll be, a full sleeve of tattoos in their arm and so on...
