There's some eerie similarities....

Let's assume the worst by saying some Hitleresque racists hate white people and seek to eliminate them. You'd expect to see certain things like racial scapegoating (blaming all social ills on white people) and it would creep into the political and educational environment as well.

These are similarities. Jews left the German educational system in droves when it started teaching they were inherently immoral and greedy. White people have rightly begun leaving the educational system now that it teaches whites are inherently racist and immoral.

So I can understand the comparison. Let's look at why it won't play out the same way.

These particular racists aren't smart. They think that power comes from writing laws....it doesn't. They are also bad at math....since whites make up 60+% of the population and German Jews only made up about 1% of the population.

It's easy to oppress 1%....it's really hard to oppress 60%.

Even if you get a significant number of that 60% to go along with it....you can't create a system that denies them benefits and treats them as second class without it becoming apparent.

Those who went along at first with the program will eventually withdraw support or switch sides.

I'm hoping it never gets that far though. I'd rather not be around to see it. I don't expect any gentle treatment or careful response to be the result.
Nazis leveraged gun registration lists created in 1938 "to track criminals" into soon-following confiscations leading to unbridled Nazism by 1943:

Context is everything...

If you read through to the end, there's a contextual aspect to this that one would pick up, that they wouldn't if they just read the beginning and stopped.

But....

I'll openly admit, I do wonder how much of this is "bait". Meaning, a person starts their work with something intentionally controversial-sounding, that they know will elicit a certain visceral reaction, banking on the fact that many will get angry with it and bail on the rest of it, so that they can call out another group for not understanding the full message in later discourse.

For instance, if a person put together a written work that started with:
"I just hope a <insert demographic here> person tries to break into my house so I have an excuse..."

...and then waited until pages and pages later to elaborate and say "that's how I used to feel, and I realize now that was wrong"

It'd be a fair critique to say that there's the remote chance that they were intentionally trying to draw out a certain response to use against someone later.

No, she said "white people".
So I guess if you are white you just get thrown into the batter and mixed together......

The rest of the prayer sequentially excludes different types of white people from her hate. Until it has evaporated.

It's easy to oppress 1%....it's really hard to oppress 60%.
Not if half of that 60% agree with them. And from the MSM, major league sports, leftist politicians (at all levels), "WOKE" corporations, the so-called 'public (even private) educational systems all beginning to spout the same message.......1/2 of the 60% may think they will want to 'save' themselves from ostracism, unemployment, harassment, etc and simply go along with it. Many Germans did just that in order to stay on the 'right' side of the message.
These particular racists aren't smart.
Hitler certainly was no genius but he was charismatic.....and kept even his high level subordinates in constant fear of their lives. Jim Jones wasn't smart but he convinced over 900 people to commit suicide. Intelligence is no measure of convincing people. Convincing people they would be better off without another group.....well, that's a whole 'nother loaf of bread. How else do you think the Tribulation will come about?.......
Just my opinion......

Well, her opening paragraph did not evaporate.....

No, the text is still there. But the piece is about working through that desire for hate. She does not end where she began. It's like a character arc on TV.

It is a pretty shallow arc then.....

Virtually everything she is "praying" (and I use the term in its loosest connotation) for stands against all that God calls on us to do.....to love and pray for our enemies, to forgive 70x7, love others as self..... Seems as if she needs a refresher course on Gospels 101.

That's what I am wondering.

Hope it's not what the book Mein Kampf would have been if Hitler decided to write a ham fisted redemption arc on the very last page.. "Yeah.. and anyway.. all this hateful stuff I spewed in this book.. I no longer believe.. I learned to love everyone and all races.. or something.. bye for now!!!"

She shared with us how she got through her desire to “hate white people”; she kept it 100, the ugly truth of her hatred in black and white and how she relied on her God to get through that desire and back into His will.

Types of white people huh?

Lemme guess....I haven't read it but she likes the type that make an effort dealing with her problems.

At the end she asks god not to judge her for hating white people.

I'm not seeing the arc.

She starts off hating white people, particularly the ones claiming to be on her side but still find time for anything other than her pursuits....

At the end she....she still hates white people....and throws in a quick shout out to her favorite black people.

I've seen better poetry scribbled on bathroom stalls.

Not exactly. She asks, one might infer mock-seriously, for a Get Out Of Judgment Free card. Which I do not believe is a thing. At least not since papal indulgences.

As long as people can latch onto something to get up in arms about, the quality doesn't much matter.

I haven't read it end to end, but she does not hate the "ardent racists". And she doesn't think its worthwhile to hate the casual racists that use pleasant speech to your face, but unpleasant speech behind your back.

Well as an atheist none of it's a real thing except the white people....

I understand that the card thing might be lighthearted.....but at what point does she claim to not be hateful anymore?

It was pretty hard to find.

This best-selling devotional has a prayer that literally says “Dear God, please help me to hate white people.” This is a real book you can buy. At Target.

Equally concerning is that someone decided to actually publish this blatant racist "prayer"

Did Christ teach us to hate?

The title of this book is kind of bothering me.. I don't know if this is the right term or not.. but it sounds passive aggressive.

Please quote whatever section you get that from...

I read it from still images of the pages...it looked blatantly racist start to finish. I'll concede I could have missed something though.

Again, I'm not convinced that half of that 60% want to vote their children out of a job, want their children told to hate people by race, want worse treatment mandated by law.

I'm sure there's plenty of people supporting this now because they believe it is about some other white people. I'm sure they're ignorant enough to think it only applies to those white people.

If that's the case.....actual policy will show them they're mistaken.

Hitler certainly was no genius but he was charismatic.....and kept even his high level subordinates in constant fear of their lives. Jim Jones wasn't smart but he convinced over 900 people to commit suicide. Intelligence is no measure of convincing people. Just my opinion......

Remember like 8 years ago when the people would say "I'm not talking about all white people"?

They don't say that anymore.

Increasingly....people are noticing the problem. That's encouraging enough for now.

If you look at the group supporting it....it's young....liberal....not gainfully employed for the most part.

I can't imagine they really support being excluded from hiring based on race. They imagine it's some older white guy who should give up his job or wealth or whatever.

Once they realize that isn't it....they're pushing themselves out....I don't expect it to be a good time.

Sorry, but I think you are reading far more into it than is actually there. She wrote those words for a specific reason and meaning. Makes no sense in trying to psycho-analyze what she is 'really saying'.

First page:

"No, those [white allies] are not the people I want to hate. I'm not even talking about the ardent racists, either."
