It does 'picture' the Inauguration ceremonies from beginning to end.
I think the comedy in this thread is the same as mentioned in proverbs 29:9True. But the content is not based on the speech. It's gaffes from other speeches, I guess?
I'm not trying to be mean, but it's just not comedy gold. Plus, his speech yesterday was really encouraging and hopeful. So, I give it a thumbs down in terms of comedic value. It wasn't about the speech, despite the pretense. And it comes across as forced. Like, the only people who will think it's funny are those who have a certain amount of pre-existing animosity against him. It's an inside joke, I suppose.

It's satire, p.h.! Comedy. Like calling Trump's skin "orange" when it clearly isn't.
And yes, it plays off of Biden gaffes from other times.
Evidence is only true if confirmed and taking it through the courts.I have an honest, hypothetical question for you. If you have solid evidence that an election was stolen, should you fight it?
Not really - that was more Trumpish than Bidenish. It wasn't gaffes, it was rambling. You're right, to be funny it should be true-ish.And then it touched on how Biden tended to talk, and who most observers think will REALLY be president in the not too distant future.
He was orange before he took so much criticism for it; then he changed his hair color and foundation makeup for the better. For some reason, he, in later appearances, would often have white circles around his eyes and white ears like a reverse racoon. It's satire, p.h.! Comedy. Like calling Trump's skin "orange" when it clearly isn't.
What was the gaffe there? And yes, it plays off of Biden gaffes from other times.
I didn't find that funny at all.
Seemed more like far right wing propaganda. Just fed off the election smear campaign to try to get right leaning voters to think Biden is senile and that Kamila as president is the real goal of the election.
But none of that is true, just a continuance on right wing propaganda that has dominated the last 4 years.

I thought the video was funny too because the OP and their compatriots think it closer to reality than it is.Well, I guess we'll just disagree, on all those points. I just thought it was funny.
Interesting you brought that up. I've listened to some stuff he's said recently and it's like he had a brain transplant. Kinda reminds me of that video of them literally throwing a "wooden" Hillary into a van, on top of all the related videos, yet she seems fine now. I don't know what to make of that stuff. What do you think of his inauguration speech? Was it full of gaffes?
I'm talking about the one with snippets from various speeches and gatherings, not the cartoon. Though the one in the cartoon was actually from some of that, come to think of it.Then your title is misleading.
You sure that this is in the correct thread?“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.”
~ C.S. Lewis
Evidence is only true if confirmed and taking it through the courts.
If it is systemic, you vote in politicians who will change the system.
There is always some fraud, at levels which do not change the outcome.
I agree with all of those statements. But regarding the first sentence, when courts refuse to hear the evidence because "you don't have standing", or for whatever reason, you're kinda dead in the water. A lot of cases fighting income tax end up like this. It's sort of the IRS being "too big to lose", as best as I can see.
Personally, I blame mail in voting for all this nonsense. I think we need IN PERSON voting. And if you're gonna be out of town, tough luck.
That was true when there was minor fraud. I was mentioning to someone that if we allow it now, it will only get worse in the future. Then I realized this IS the future because we allowed it in 1960.Anti democrates will always start with corruption will defeat me before the election is held. Over the years both parties have held power, which demonstrates elections working.
My gripe with this election is not that Biden won, or that Trump lost. I've been on the losing side in countless election. It is that massive fraud in broad daylight was allowed to happen, period. That is not a D or R thing. That is a "destruction of our republic" thing. That matters. It's gonna leave a mark.
Heh. Yeah, Trump does it too, but they don't go off in incomprehensible as deeply or as often as Biden's did. And don't get me wrong. When Biden won the nomination I said to my friends that when you nominate a candidate, you want one that is strong where the other guy is weak. And Trump's biggest weakness is his speeches. So they selected Biden?! Seriously?!Not really - that was more Trumpish than Bidenish. It wasn't gaffes, it was rambling. You're right, to be funny it should be true-ish.
No, I'm not sure. I'll need to see what I was responding to.You sure that this is in the correct thread?
Really we should be offering grace to all, including Trump and Biden.I'll believe Biden is senile when he starts talking about 'covfefe' and 'hamberders'.
Well, opinions certainly vary on that one.I thought the video was funny too because the OP and their compatriots think it closer to reality than it is.
Honestly, I think that the left is by far more authoritarian. It is Trump that killed a lot of "authoritarian" government regulations. It is leftist governors and Mayors that killed off a lot of businesses with the lockdown. It is the left that wants draconian regulations to fight the mythical "global warming". It is the left that champions fascist policies like regulating toilets and light bulbs, and a minimum wage. The right is all about small government, while the left wants more. That is extremely obvious. The divide between the Left and the Right is exacerbated by the fact that the Right tends to be* a bit more authoritarian than the Left and (here’s the payoff) assume that “the Left is just as authoritarian as us”.
Exactly! Actions speak louder than rhetoric.I ignore what politicians say. I watch what they do.
