And so, dear brothers and sisters,
I plead with you to give your bodies to God
because of all he has done for you.
Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—
the kind he will find acceptable.
This is truly the way to worship him
.”
Romans 12:1

Friendship with Jesus is costly.
Faith alone saves, but saving faith is never alone.
It is always accompanied by great sacrifices for Christ’s sake.

Amen. Just as Christ gave His life for us, we now "give our lives for Him" just as it is written "for me to live is Christ", and the song of the same title, sung by "Sidewalk Prophets" proclaims and testifies to.

May it be so. It's the LEAST we can do for ALL that He has done for us, amen?

God bless you on this chilly but milder early Thursday morning, the 5th of November.

Is trusting in The Messiah enough to give a person Eternal Life, The Bible says so.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

If we "believe" in Christ, we believe what he says, and what he says is we must do good, take care of the poor, and not live in sin.

If we dont "believe" and do those things, we have no belief in Christ, nor do we have faith in him, but only some empty word we call faith in order to help us decieve ourselves into believing we are heaven bound with our empty "faith only".

Do you believe in/have faith in/trust in Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of your salvation? Or do you believe in/have faith in/trust in your best efforts to do good, take care of the poor and suppress sin in your life as the means of your salvation?

Both, why? Because when I believe in Christ, for me, that entails believing and doing what he tells me I must do in order to get to heaven.

So is it 50% Christ that saves you and 50% works? What did Jesus tell you to do in John 6:40 in order to go to heaven? Trusting in Christ for salvation is believing and doing what He tells us to do "afterwards" is works. We are saved through faith, not works. You could never do enough works to earn your way to heaven.

“If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.”

It’s not the works that are being taken into consideration but the motivation behind the works.

John 6:40 says this is God’s desire that all who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life and He will raise them on the last day. Unfortunately that doesn’t always happen does it? Jesus said in the parable of the soils that some will believe for a while then turn away. God doesn’t always get what He desires unless you believe in universalism. 1 Timothy 2:3-4 2Peter 3:9.

Are you appointed by God to judge people. Or have you just self appointed yourself.

Who did I judge? Will you show me where I did such a thing? Or will you, as usual, not answer or prove your false accusation?

When one starts to throw that all to common, empty defense around as you are doing, all it does is show you have no viable argument.

It's much like Dan's all to common "Is christ not sufficient". Both are tired old learned responses designed to make the opposing side feel guilty, when in fact, neither are even true. Not one person here judged, nor did they so much as indicate Christ was not sufficient.

Made up junk that is not the truth, because you have no other real defense.

The problem with such people is that their belief was never firmly rooted and established from the start, which explains why there was said to be no root, no fruit, a lack of moisture, so it withered away. Not everyone believes unto salvation.
