Hi. I am currently planning a very low key Halloween party for next month. What sort of games do you recommend? What films are suitable as well? I have already picked out the food and drink to serve on the night. I might need help in choosing some appropriate music to play too. Tips on organisation wanted please. There will only be five or four people coming. I decided to limit numbers for obvious reasons. Where do you get decorations from? The theme is Halloween of course.

Golly. It seems as though every party store, dollar store, and thrift store (Salvation Army, etc.) is full of the stuff. You shouldn't have any trouble.

Games for Halloween. Grave sucking, Séance, ouji board, sacrifices and general possession.

Well the ouija board that another poster mentioned is probably not the best idea...but as for food pizza and chicken tenders with barbeque sauce!!!!!!! And chocolate milkshakes for dessert

Come to think of it i think a Séance is a bad thing too. It has suddenly occurred to me that that poster may have been joking

I think you would call it sarcasm as I struggle to understand why Christians celebrate a well known possible occult practice or at the least a pagan practice.

Some professing Christians who celebrate Halloween will berate a fellow Christian or completely ignore them if they follow the Sabbath or the 10 Commandments even if those that follow them know salvation is only through Christ. Does not make any sense to me.

I personally will not celebrate Halloween in any shape or form. Too much mixing of Christianity with other practices.

Peace be to all those in the body of Christ

The number of Christians who would "berate" another Christian for not observing Halloween is far outnumbered by the reverse--those Christians who berate any other Christian who has some innocent fun on that day or allows the kids to have some.

Any discussion that's started on these forums shows this to be the case.

And as for the attitude of Christians who do have some fun on Halloween, most of them respect the right of the others to avoid any show of interest in the day if that's their decision. It would be "Christian" if the others returned the favor.

So according to this ideology it's okay for Christians to have some fun in any ritual if they avoid any interest in the day or what it represents. You could apply this to a great deal of situations in the occult or pagan practices and many other worldly pursuits. When will Christians stop trying to mix Christianity with traditions and worldliness.

I've heard this type of thing many times from professing Christians and things like "as long as my heart is in the right place it's okay".

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Peace be to all those in the body of Christ

So according to this ideology
What "ideology?"

it's okay for Christians to have some fun in any ritual if they avoid any interest in the day or what it represents.
In the first place, "what it represents" is not decided by people who simply say "It's pagan." In the second, my point was that, despite the comments to the contrary, far more Christians who loathe Halloween condemn their fellow Christians who do observe the day, than the other way around.
