It is worth noting that the Coriolis effect is especially weak near the equator: hence the absence of hurricanes/cyclones:

So. Who took that photo?
A blue marble circling around a ball of fire, which is being hurdled through nothingness, traveling at a gazillion miles per hour heading to, well they haven't really said yet. If this is the case, it kind of negates the Creator, and gives credance to evolution, ET, and etc. doesn't it?
If it's a fixed disc, with the Creator directly above us, well this scenario rains all over the parade of the evil forces on this earth. A big questions that always gets me, is why does the UN icon show the flat earth map, and explain to me again which map do the militaries use to map out their bombing travel plans?

I find, then when I have a troublesome question, I take it to the One that made me, and wait for His answer. I learned a long time ago not to give the Creator my opinions and prompts on which way I expect Him to answer. I just wait. And He always answers. And it always corresponds with Scripture. Not another man's translation, but what the Bible actually says.

How our religious leaders would explain this to us (without actually saying so), is that the God that spoke everything into existence, doesn't know the difference in the word 'ball' and the word 'circle'.

It would take an awfully omnipotent power to keep all of the universe in order ... to support life on Earth.

But that's just what we see scientifically.

Practically every variable in the known universe seems to be ever so finely tuned ... to support life on Earth ...

But for hundreds of good reasons, it isn't.

I'm wondering how those flights that go over the north or south poles don't end up in outer space myself... because pilots will tell you that it's often shorter to travel that way than to go longitude.

This looks like a flat disk earth. The moons horizon is "cutting" the earth in half. The earth does the same thing to the moon. The "shape" comes from the optical illusion of the atmosphere. The atmosphere is a lense itself that gives the curve shape.

The earth is not a disk in space though. The surface of the earth is the second "story" of a cube. No one can fall off into space, there is an outer wall of this 3 floor house. Where God exist outside of reality are many "houses" of different shapes. This heavens and earth is just one of many realities. Eternity is not a time to God. It is a place with no time at all. Time is what God creates within each reality.

It is so much easier to simply agree with the powers on this earth that control our everyday lives. And it is not my lot in life to convince God's people the shape of the earth that their Creator has provided for them. We will find out for sure when the Father and Son come here to make all things right.
But just for grins, look closely at those photos and pictures for irregularities, and then take a look at the original high altitude ballon from the late 1800's, and listen to what the guy had to say when he came back down to earth.
Just for grins mind you, dig for truth. Real truth, not some photo shopped pics and videos. If you should find that they don't exist at all, and want to get angry at them for decieving us, and mad at God for allowing it, realize this: God has a Master's plan, and this is part of it.

Earth has an atmosphere. You can see it in the photo below as the blue glow surrounding the land and seas of the planet.

Planes all fly within Earth's atmosphere ... which means that a plane's cruising direction is not really a straight line ... but is slightly curved to stay inside the layer of atmosphere. If a plane cruises at an altitude of 35,000 feet, ... the plane is maintaining a distance of 35,000 feet between it ... and the surface of the earth.

If you look closely in the photo, you can also see vertical cloud formations ...

Over or through? There is difference. Why would a plain flying from South Africa to Moscow fly over Antarctica? Would not Antarctica be the shortest route?

The atmosphere is a flat lense that is miles thick. Looking through it will give a disk shape to the surface below. Why would any one think they are being deceived by natural reality? Is a drop of water round on a flat surface?

If the earth were flat, then why can’t we see said ice wall?
