Seeking David In The Latter Days [moved]

Hosea 3:
4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return and seek the Lord their God and David their king; and shall fear the Lord and his goodness in the latter days.

Why must those who return seek David their king?
2 Samuel 8:15. So David reigned over all Israel; and David administered judgment
and righteousness to all his people.

How did Absalom undermine the reign of his father?
2 Samuel 15.
1 And it came to pass after this, that Absalom prepared him chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him.
2 And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city art thou? And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.
3 And Absalom said unto him, See, thy matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear thee.
4 Absalom said moreover, Oh that I was made judge in the land, that every man which hath any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice!
5 And it was so that when any man came nigh to him to do his obeisance, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him.
6 And in this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king
for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.

In what way is this relevant to the body of Messiah?
Ephesians 6:12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places.

How do these spirits manifest in the earth realm? Is it not in the halls of government, political factions and their allies in mass media? Even, or especially, in organized religion.
By seeking and praying for the Spirit of Messiah to manifest in our legislatures and administrations, strife and division can be overcome in the governance of man.
We know that when Messiah comes He will set all these things in order,
but for so many, it will then be too late.

1 Timothy 2:
1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks
be made for all men,
2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all
godliness and reverence.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Romans 13:
1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except
from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.
2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist
will bring judgment on themselves.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority?
Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.
4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the
sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.
5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake.
6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually
to this very thing.
7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs,
fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.

Psalm 34:

Seek peace and pursue it.

1 John 2:18. Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come,
even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

Psalm 9:
6 O enemy, destructions are finished forever!
And you have destroyed cities;
Even their memory has perished.
7 But the Lord shall endure forever;
He has prepared His throne for judgment.
8 He shall judge the world in righteousness,
And He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness.
9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
A refuge in times of trouble.
10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You;
For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.
11 Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Zion!
Declare His deeds among the people.
12 When He avenges blood, He remembers them;
He does not forget the cry of the humble.
13 Have mercy on me, O Lord!
Consider my trouble from those who hate me,
You who lift me up from the gates of death,
14 That I may tell of all Your praise
In the gates of the daughter of Zion.
I will rejoice in Your salvation.
