CNN is reporting on the NYT report that is based on who knows who because they just say "someone said" Where is the proof for this. Per your source, deaths from these weapons all occurred prior to 2011 ... which was prior to Iran getting their frozen money back ...

and the same was used in Afghanistan still supplied by Iran. I thought this was common knowledge. It has been in the news for years.

It’s worse than that. Trump is still doing trying to get Russia into the G7 for some unknown reason he like he owes them one. Simply not imposing sanctions on Russia would be an improvement at this point.

I started this thread to be about the article in the OP. It is not about Obama/Iran.
It is about Russia offering bounties for the deaths of US soldiers in Afghanistan.

Edit - OOPS this is not my thread. I started one in News & Current Events. That thread had the same issue.

Given that the White House has had almost 36 hours to deny the story, the only question that remains is how much did the President and Vice President know and when did they know it!

The White House would have us believe that the President and Vice President had been kept "in the dark" since March, but over the past 3 1/2 years this President has denied knowledge of a number of events that has proven to be false - once a Commander-in-Chief starts down that "slippery slope" of short-term expediency, the American public is no longer willing to provide him with the benefit of the doubt!

The most recent example was the dismissal of lead US Attorney Geoffrey Bermon which required the authority of the President - Attorney General Barr stated that he had obtained Trump's permission but when questioned later, the President proceeded to claim that he had no knowledge of this individual who was investigating him and his associates!

What a sad administration we have in this country if a president is not briefed on a report like that.
