The Charred Remainder

Ezekiel 15:1-5 O man; how is the vine better than any other tree? Is its wood useful for anything? After it has been put on the fire, is the charred remainder good for anything useful? Ezekiel 19:14, Jeremiah 5:10-13, Isaiah 29:13-14, Psalms 80

Israel is the vine – Isaiah 5:7, then Isaiah 5:8-30, goes on to say how those who disobey God’s Laws will face judgement by fire. Romans 1:18, Hebrews 12:29, Isaiah 66:15-17, +

Ezekiel 15:6-8 Therefore this is what the Lord says: As I have given the wood of the vine as fuel for the fire, so will I treat the inhabitants of Jerusalem. I have set My face against them and although they have come out of one fire, another fire will devour them. You will know that I am the Lord Almighty, when I judge them and make the Land desolate, because they have been unfaithful. Jeremiah 4:5-9, Jeremiah 5:26-31, Isaiah 6:11-13

These verses say that as the Lord will judge the House of Israel, so too will the House of Judah- the Jewish people, be judged and punished. ‘ they have come out of one fire, but another will devour them.’ This is another dual prophecy, as the Roman conquest has partially fulfilled it, but ‘You will know that I am the Lord’, did not happen after that, and now the atheistic and apostate State of Israel will face the terrible Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath, an explosion of the suns surface, that will destroy all of the Lord’s enemies and will ‘make the Land desolate’, Isaiah 26:11, Zephaniah 1:14-18, Micah 1:6, but soon to be regenerated. Ezekiel 20:46-48 O man, prophecy against the Negev: I am about to kindle a fire in you, its unquenchable flames will burn everyone from to Negev to the North……

Ezekiel 21:1-7 O man, prophecy against Jerusalem and the Land of Israel. I will take My Sword, [flashing like lightning; Ezekiel 21:15b & 28b] and I intend to make away with both the righteous and wicked in all the Holy Land. All the world will know this is My Judgement and their courage will fail. See: it is coming and in an instant it will strike!

Then those who are left in the world – ‘the charred remainder’, after the terrible fires, earthquakes and storms of a massive CME sunstrike, those who trust the Lord and who call upon Him for their salvation, they have these promises;

Psalms 85:9 Certainly His loyal followers will soon experience His deliverance, then glory will again appear in our Land. Psalms 102:12-17, Ezekiel 43:2

Joel 2:23-27 People of Zion: the Lord’s people, rejoice. Your God will recompense you for the years that others have ravaged your Land. You will have plenty and prosperity in your Land. Then you will know that I am with you and that I and no other am your God. Isaiah 62:1-5, Jeremiah 30 & 31, Amos 9:13-15, Zechariah 10:6-12

Isaiah 35:10 The Lord’s people, set free, will come back and enter the Land with shouts of triumph. Happiness and joy will come upon them and suffering will flee away.

Malachi 4:2-3 But for you who fear My Name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings....the wicked will be as ashes under your feet.

1 Peter 1:5 Because you have put your faith in God, you are under the protection of His power until the salvation now in readiness is revealed at the end of time.

Zephaniah 3:8 Wait for Me, says the Lord, wait for the Day when I stand up and accuse mankind. For I shall pour out My wrath upon nations and kingdoms, in My burning anger: the whole earth will be devastated by fire.

Zephaniah 1:14-18 The great Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath is near and coming fast. That Day will be a Day of distress and torment, a Day of devastation amid thick darkness. A Day of thunder and destruction against military fortifications and cities. the Lord will bring terrible distress upon the people, they won’t know which way to turn as they are punished for their sins against Me. Their blood and guts will be spilled out like filth over the ground. Neither their treasure nor their idols will be able to save them on the sudden and shocking Day of the Lord’s fiery anger. All the Land will be burned and devastated. Ezekiel 20:46-48

Zephaniah 2:1-3 Prepare yourselves, you undesirable nation, be humble before you disappear like chaff, before the burning anger of the Lord comes upon you. Seek righteousness; seek humility, all you people in the Land who obey God’s Laws and it may be that you will find shelter on the Day of the Lord’s anger.

Zephaniah 2:4-7 Gaza will be deserted, Ashkelon left in ruins. At midday all the towns of the Mediterranean coast will be cleared of inhabitants, for the Word of God is against you – land of the Philistines. I shall lay you in ruins, no one will survive. The sea coast will become a sheep grazing area belonging to the survivors of Judah, for their God will turn to them and restore their fortunes. Isaiah 14-1, Ezekiel 36:1-37

Zephaniah 2:8-10 I have noted the insults of Moab and the Ammonites, how they have reviled My people and encroached on their frontiers. For this, I swear, they will become like Sodom and Gomorrah, a place of weeds and salt pans. Those of My people who survive will inherit their land. This is retribution for their pride, because they have insulted God’s people and taken over their Land. Jeremiah 12:14, Amos 2:1-5

Zephaniah 3:11-13 On that Day, Jerusalem, I shall rid you of your proud and arrogant citizens, but I will leave a remnant, a humble people who will trust in Me. The survivors in Israel will be righteous, under My protection. Isaiah 31:5, Romans 9:27

Zephaniah 3:19-20 When the time comes and I have dealt with your oppressors, then I shall rescue the lost and gather the dispersed and bring you all to your homeland. You will win respect and renown from the other nations when I restore your fortunes before your very eyes, It is I, the Lord, who speaks. Ref: REB. Some verses abridged.


Wait for the Day; the whole earth burned and devastated. The only known way how this could happen, is by a massive Coronal Mass Ejection, a fire judgement mentioned and graphically described over 100 times in Bible prophecy. It will be the event that ‘comes like a thief’, unexpected and shocking. Isaiah 30:26, Malachi 4:1

You undesirable nation – the Israelite people: now that is, every born again Christian. It may be that those who live righteously and humbly will ‘find shelter on the Day of the Lord’s anger.’ 2 Peter 2:9

leave a remnant in Jerusalem, under My protection – Isaiah 4:3, Romans 9:27

rescue the lost....bring you home – The great gathering of all the faithful Christian peoples, prophesied more than 40 times, to happen soon after this forthcoming, worldwide fire judgement. They, WE; will live in the promised Land, under God’s protection and when the Anti Christ comes to Jerusalem, Daniel 11:31-32, Revelation 13:7, they are taken to a place of safety until the Return of Jesus.

Enemies Occupy the Holy Land

Isaiah 66:5-6 Hear the Word of the Lord, you who revere His Name and keep His commandments. Those scoffers who say: Where is the Lord? When will your so-called God do anything? They will be shocked, for with a great noise His retribution will fall upon them. 2 Peter 3:3-10

Isaiah 63:18 Why have ungodly people trespassed on Your holy place? Why do enemies trample the holy Land? Psalms 37:10-11, Jeremiah 6:12

Jeremiah 12:8-17 Is this Land of Mine a hyena’s lair? The birds of prey and the wild beasts have taken My holy Land over, they ravage it and trample it down, making it a desolation, to My sorrow. The Lord says: I shall uproot all those evil neighbours who have encroached onto the Land that I allotted to My people. Judah too, I shall uproot, but if any of them learn the right ways of My people, then they can join and live again in the holy Land. My sword of punishment will devour the Land from end to end, no living thing will remain there. Hosea 4:3, Ezekiel 21:1-7, Isaiah 6:11-13

Psalms 7:12-16 The enemy prepares his weapons again, but it is against himself that he has made ready his deadly shafts, tipped with fire. They are all in collusion with iniquity and sinfulness, their plans for violence and terror will fall upon their own heads. Joel 3:4

Psalms 68:1-3 May God arise and His enemies be scattered. He will disperse them like smoke. His fire will melt them like wax and they will perish in the heat of His wrath, but the righteous will be joyful, as they exult in the triumph of their God.

Isaiah 29:5-6 Suddenly, all in an instant, punishment will come from God Almighty with thunder, earthquakes and a great noise, with storm tempest and flames of devouring fire. The horde of your enemies will crumble into dust, that multitude of ruthless foes will scatter like chaff. Zephaniah 3:8, Isaiah 66:15-16, Revelation 6:12-17


Micah 5:7-15 All the remnant of the descendants of Jacob, now dispersed among the nations, will become like dew from the Lord, they will look only to Him who saves them. Their enemy’s will be destroyed, but on that Day their military power will be lost, all the occult followers will die and any things of idol worship will be gone. Amos 9:10 In anger and fury the Lord will wreak vengeance on all the peoples who disobey Him. Isaiah 66:15-17

Zechariah 8:11-13 The Lord says: I do not feel the same now toward the remnant of My people, as I did in former days. Hosea 11:8-11 Now I shall save you and bless you, you will work the Land in safety, the sky will give rain and the soil will yield abundant produce. Birds of prey and wild beasts have taken over My Land… and the evil neighbors… These are metaphors for the ungodly peoples who are now living in the holy Land.

The enemies deadly shafts, tipped with fire – an ancient description for a modern weapon: a nuke tipped missile. It is against themselves they have prepared their weapons and they will fall onto their own heads. All the weapons ready to fire at Israel will explode on the launch pad or in their bunkers. Psalms 64:1-10, Habakkuk 3:3-14
Suddenly, in an instant, punishment will come in the heat of the Lord’s wrath, causing earthquakes with flames of fire that will burn His enemies to ashes. As described here and throughout the Bible, this will be a Coronal Mass Ejection, a huge unprecedented explosion of the suns surface, that will fulfill all the graphic prophecies about the Lord’s judgement by fire. But the punishment by exile of the Lord’s people, now every faithful Christian, will be completed and the Lord will save and bless them. They will go to their inheritance, all that area promised to Abraham, cleansed from end to end by this terrible devastation by fire.

Many prophecies tell about the great second Exodus of the Christian Israelites to the holy Land, where they will work the Land in safety, being a light to the nations, Matthew 5:14-16, all as originally meant for them. Isaiah 49:3-8 They will send out 144,000 missionaries to tell the world the Gospel of the coming Kingdom of Jesus. Isaiah 66:18b-21

Isaiah 30:1-14 The Lord says; woe to Israel, a race of rebels who refuse His Laws. They ask for preachers to ‘give us smooth words and illusions’.
ALL of God’s people, Judah, plus the ten tribes still in exile, plus those grafted in.

Isaiah 30:15-18 These are the words of the Lord; In calm detachment lies your safety, your strength in quiet trust.
But you would have none of it, therefore you will be put to flight.
Yet the Lord is waiting to show you His favour and compassion, for He is a God of justice. Happy are all who wait for Him! Luke 12:37

Isaiah 30:19-24 People of Zion, weep no more. The Lord will answer you when you call for help. He gives you adversity and affliction now, but your teachers will no longer be hidden from you, you will see them with your own eyes. If you stray from the right path, you will hear a voice behind you saying- ‘this is the Way, follow it’. You will loath your images and will treat your idols [sorcery, false religions, materialism, etc] like filth. Hosea 14:8 & Ezekiel 11:18

The Lord will give rain and the Land will produce rich crops. Your livestock will prosper. Isaiah 41:17-19 & Ezekiel 34:14-16

Isaiah 30:25-28 On the Day of slaughter, when fortresses fall, streams of water will flow from every hill. The moon will shine like the sun and sunlight will be seven times brighter on the Day the Lord heals the wounds of His people. Isaiah 63:4

See the Lord Himself comes from afar, with anger and wrath, in dense clouds of smoke. His breath is a rushing torrent, He shakes the nations in a sieve of destruction. Ezekiel 30:2-5, Habakkuk 3:12, Isaiah 66:15-17

Isaiah 30:29-33Then the Lord will make His voice heard in majesty and reveal His arm descending in fierce anger, with devouring flames, thunder and hail. [Heb 10:27]
For at His voice, Assyria’s strength fails, His punishing Rod strikes them down. A fire pit is prepared by Jerusalem, ready for the Lord to set it ablaze with His breath, like a stream of burning Sulphur. Ezekiel 20:47-48

But for you there will be songs and gladness of heart as you march to music, on the way to the Mountain of the Lord.

Verse 10 is appropriate for our days, as false religions, prosperity theology, etc. are preached everywhere. Hosea 4:7-11

Verses 25-28 & 30-33 the Lords Day of vengeance, a fire judgement on His enemies, as we are told in verse 26, will be a massive explosion of the sun that will literally fulfil all the prophesies about that Day. Revelation 6:12-17, Isaiah 51:4-8, Hosea 2:14-23, Ezekiel 37 & 20:34-38 Joel 2:1-2, 2 Peter 3:7

Verse 29 Then; ‘you’, every faithful believer, Christians from every race nation and language; will gather into all of the Promised Land. Jeremiah 33:6-14, Psalms 107, Isaiah 35:1-10, Zechariah 8:1-8

Verses 19-24 are for the period after His people, all faithful Christians, are resettled in the Land. They will have God given leaders and teachers to guide them until Jesus Returns. Jeremiah 30:21, Hosea 1:11
